Another piece is beginning to take shape. 🌾
I’m currently working on this Columbia Plateau basket, building each row by hand and letting the design develop slowly.
The traditional forms, patterns, and materials connect me to the artistry of my ancestors and the Columbia Plateau. Every piece takes time, patience, and care.
This is the part of the process you don't always get to see.

So many beautiful colors and so many possibilities! I’m excited to pick up some supplies to make more Columbia Plateau basket necklaces and try some new projects with Dentalium shells.

One of my favorite parts of being an artist is seeing where my artwork ends up.
