“Have you seen any zombies lately? No?

Zom-B13: Zombie Outbreak Mobile Battalion #13

Owner/Driver: Jesselee Leachman

A car project born from boredom became more than just an attraction in Pendleton, Oregon. Its helped families and children of all ages have a different kind of fun from the "Old West" theme of town. Zom-B13 has aided families struggling for the holidays, helped at-risk youth with safe and healthy activities, and has s

et out to accomplish much more as time goes on. Thank you all for joining me on this little adventure of mine. It went from being *just* a black car to a bad ass Zombie Outbreak Response Vehicle squadron/battalion that continues to keep the community safe from the zombie threat. September 2020 we added a Tactical Response Vehicle, a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder that we call "ZombieFinder". December 2024 saw the retirement of the original Zombie First Responder, the 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora, due to a blown head gasket. June 2025 began a new chapter as a new vehicle, a 2008 Ford Mustang, joined the battalion. This would begin to tell our story as a division of the fabled Umbrella Corporation. Well then you’re welcome.”

What does "being a volunteer" look like for Zom-B13? Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't necessarily mean to dress up like a zombie!

90% of the time, we just need bodies to help us out with tasks for parades and events.

With parades, we could really use skilled hands in facepaint & makeup. Bonus points for special FX talent to help the zombies look more....well.... zombie. Another helpful hand is to do camera work. Photography and videos are a huge thing with us as we like to add our parade performances to our YouTube channel. Creativity is heavily encouraged! Our livestreaming would be so much more impressive if we had a steady hand to utilize!

During events, having some helping hands in setting up our canopy and tables is something that's always needed. Some decorating might be requested depending on the occasion. Our biggest event, Back To Ghoul, is something we need A LOT of volunteers for to supervise tables, activity centers, and make sure families are able to locate their child's grade table as well as other necessities.

Volunteers can take steps to become members! Members are those that are willing to show up for nearly event when possible (we understand work schedules and family matters are first and foremost important). Consistency is what it comes down to. Willingness to "dress the part" definitely helps, however. We do have "non-zombie" roles, sometimes labeled "hunters" or "handlers". Since we've opened up our story to being a division of Umbrella Corporation, we've got "Umbrella Corp" uniform shirts one could wear in parades! Now, sometimes we do themes for parades, so a little extra on costumes might be expected. Usually we can supply the costume add-ons, but it's great if you are able to use your own creativity! We do 3-5 parades a year so it's not a big ask. All are local to Pendleton, though we may appear for Pilot Rock events.

We have no room for bigots, racists, rude idjits or straight up jerks. We are very open with our community support of the LGBTQIA+ family and if that's something you just can't do, we don't want you with us. Many of our members and fans are in this family and we back them 100%.

Any questions, please feel free to ask!

You know we have a store, right? Here's our lineup for PRIDE month :) All shirts are $20.

We held strong at Pendleton Street Fair for as long as we could, but that 30-40mph wind and cold temps just were not in anyone's favor today. At 3:30pm we had to pack it up.

We managed to get some donations of school supplies though! We still have A LOT of our event exclusive stickers, though we did try to make sure to hand them out to every vendor we possibly could.

Our new canopy was ripped to shreds unfortunately, but we hope to have it replaced by the time PRIDE Festival rolls around.

For those of you who met us and inquired about who we are and what we do, thank you! I wish we were able to completely show off for you all but we had to drastically shrink down what we originally planned.

Just a reminder! We have an exclusive sticker for today's event! Come say hi and get one from Noon to 6pm on Main Street...

Volunteer Opportunity Saturday May 16th!

Location: Unity Collectibles on Main. We know we will be setting up nearby so that will be the landmark location we will use for reference.

What: We need help with setting up and securing the canopy so it doesn't blow away in the high winds (Expected to be 30-40mph during the event).

The current plan is to fill and attach 4 water weights (55lb each) and 4 solid weights (25lb each) to each corner, and possibly tie it down to the adjacent vehicles that will be on each end.

We may also need help attaching a banner that will go across the front of the canopy roof.

Our regular members will be there, but having extra support never hurts!

If you can help, just meet up by 11am on May 16th at the location above. We're hard to miss so just wave us down!

Fun news to share :)

We've been invited to be part of the 6th Annual Pendleton Comic-Con at the Pendleton Library on August 1st.

Of course we accepted!

What we will be doing is yet to be determined, but we will come up with some kind of fun activity for the attendees.

Alongside us at this weekend's Pendleton Street Fair will be the MF Zombie Crew , The Crafty Zombae , and O+N point Creations ! All offering something for your curious minds ;)

We will have our vehicles on display, an event exclusive sticker along with other Zom-B13 brand stickers, informal volunteer posters, and a volunteer sign-up sheet for those interested! We'll also answer any inquiries you may have about us. We also plan to have a display showing videos of what we've done for 10 years so far.

We're also taking donations towards our Back-to-Ghoul event, with each monetary or school supply donation qualifying as a raffle entry to win one of our super comfortable Zom-B13 Throw Blankets!

Weather-pending, we will also have a photo backdrop setup for pictures :) Its being forecast to call for high winds so prepare accordingly.

We will all be situated by Unity Collectibles on Main Street (between Court & Dorion), we will be the huge black canopy tent. Just look for the vehicles with flashing red & green lights ;)

See you all this Saturday from Noon to 6pm! Main Street, Pendleton, Oregon!
