It’s World Menopause Day ❣️It’s a global day dedicated to raising awareness about menopause and its impact on the health and well-being of women initiated by the International Menopause Society and falls with the month of October which is Menopause Awareness Month!

My personal journey led me to the Menopause Bootcamp organized by Dr Suzanne Gilberg, MD and to host events including free screenings of the M Factor Movie 🎥 by Tamsen Fadal thanks to the Dublin Arts Collective 🖼️ The Post Period Art Show 🖼️ and supporting legislation spearheaded by Denise Pines as well as collaborating with amazing change makers in our community including artists, breast cancer survivors, health professionals and fitness experts !! To all of you a huge Thank You ❣️❣️

This therapy helps with issues like incontinence (leaking urine or stool), pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, constipation, and pain during s*x.

Shoutout to the phenomenal Victoria Liu who runs informative and practical workshops to educate women about pelvic health. You can find her practice in San Ramon, California.

Such great conversations in the Menopause Bootcamp Coaching call with Dr Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz! Also excited about events in 2025 reaching hearing impaired women with evidence-based information so thanks to Apryl Chauhan for being available to interpret ❣️We also touched on ‘survivorship medicine’ and it’s wonderful to partner with Teyonna Bowman to help educate women about breast cancer through her work with Pausitive Outlook. To assess the risk of breast cancer recurrence, breast cancer-specific mortality, and overall mortality for breast cancer survivors receiving vaginal estrogen therapy for genitourinary syndrome of menopause.

Female transitions are under acknowledged. Puberty gets attention but the transition to Motherhood and then the Menopause transition have had to fight to be recognized as the life changing events that they are.
