This will be interesting! I'll be painting a 36" jockey silks sculpture for LexArts along with 49 other talented artists to celebrate the Breeders' Cup World Championships. My chosen design submission pays tribute to Stone Farm in Paris. I'd been eager to bid for the next round of Horse Mania, so I'm honored to have been picked for this one 🙌

Throwback to one of my larger plein air pieces depicting the garden house at the Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate

I did this piece over multiple plein air sessions in rhe summer ofl 2024; it took first place at the annual Art by Nature exhibit in Lexington, and won some awards at Plein Air Salon. I have to admit it never felt fully completed (to me, at least) and I may revisit this one in the future.

It's zinnia and sunflower season over at Evans Orchard and Cider Mill in Georgetown! This beautiful event runs from July 25 through August 9th and features 12 acres of blooming flowers, wagon rides, and a special festival weekend!
