Donald Nassie Paintings There, a young boy could not have had a better life growing up. This endeavor did much to strengthen my painting career.

After my father was discharged from the Navy in 1945, we moved to Ukiah, California, followed by a short move to a ranch in Redwood Valley when I was 11 years old. Five years later, in February, 1958, we moved to Honolulu, where I graduated high school in 1959. While living in Hawaii, I surfed, skin-dived, and became a professional caddy at a local country club. A decade of various jobs followed,

with college, military service, travel, and other adventures that took time I now wish I could recoup. In 2003 I retired from a successful custom framing business and art gallery that I established in 1975. Today, I paint daily and am rebuilding a 1953 Chevy for my wife. When it is finished, we will drive Route 66, where more inspiration for future paintings will surely come. Aside from all this I have a property in the mountains where the trees, animals, and the flying creatures that roam about this environment are a joy to behold, a true inspiration for one who uses colors and shapes to create images on canvas. Other than this, a man could ask for little else. With my fantastic wife and three incredible children, I am truly blessed this time around.
