5 Rounds

Picture Rounds: 10 questions, 10pts each, some kind of loose theme

2nd Round: 10 questions 10pts each, random general knowledge

Audio Round: 10 questions 10pts each, with a possibility for an addidtional 5 pts each, usually music, but can be movie quotes or anything else that's audio rather than visual

2x Round: 10 questions, but points are doubled: 20pts each. The first 5 questions w

ill be general knowledge and the last 5 will fit into a theme. Final Round: 8 questions 50pts each, but also -50pts for incorrect answers, so wager wisely

I was hoping that tonight at The Irish Patriot was going to be the night that we broke the coldspell. Unfortunately it was not. Thus, we will be taking a brief haitus (2 weeks min.). This Trivia With Budds night is by no means dead. Keep an eye out for updates in this matter.

Categories are still being finalized. However, we will definitely run Prince Collaborations, May the 4th, and one of 2 Movie Rounds. 'G' Words is a possibility, but I'm waiting to see what else gets sent my way.

You see the Hispanics of Newport liked Cinco a lot. But high up on Coast Highway, Lucille Bluth did not. [...] And then Lucille had a horrible thought. A thought that was thoughtless and better to not. "What if" she thought, with a sneering grin...

Lucille: ...next year what if the party didn't even begin?

And so began a holiday on the eve of the fifth of May, originally intended to deplete the party supplies the Cinco de Mayo celebrants were relying upon. Over 30 years, however, it grew and was soon embraced by the Hispanic community — for financial reasons.

Hey all you Trivia With Budds fiends. We will not be running Trivia With Budds at the The Irish Patriot tomorrow night as usual. There are a few reasons, and the lack of the attendance the last several weeks is among them.

I will be addressing this by slightly revamping the format of trivia starting with our first May show on the 4th. We'll kick it off with a Cinco de Quatro celebration. The basic idea is that every month the team with the highest combined score between all their appearances will receive an extra prize. This isn't particularly original, but I think it will help keep things fresh and encourage more consistent appearances.

Unfortunately, unless something changes in the next 30 seconds, Trivia With Budds will not run at The Irish Patriot. These kind of things happen with Blachawks Playoff Hockey. Stay tuned to this page in the coming weeks as we deal with any other games that fall on a Wednesday. There is talk of temporarily switching to Tuesdays to accommodate this.
