Mat-Su Valley Fiber Festival The Mat Su Valley Fiber Festival is a gathering of knitters, spinners, and fiber artists who enjoy sharing their art with everyone.

Our goal is to provide education to the community in hopes that more will join the fiber arts community. The Mat Su Valley Fiber Festival is being held in Palmer, Alaska. We want to share our love of all things fiber from the animal to the finished product with our community and the surrounding area.

Class opportunity! "Woven Without Rules: A Handwoven Hat"
October 9th, 2026 at the Fairbanks Fiber Festival!

I will be leading students through the process I follow to make one of my handwoven hats! We will explore a freestyle approach to weaving that incorporates design elements and enhancements to make your hat a true expression of your creativity and personality.

Beginners welcome! Students must provide their own pre-warped loom (min weaving width 16") and know how to operate it. More instructions will be provided at signup.

Thank you for another amazing Festival! It was absolutely wonderful getting to see everyone come out and support their local shops. The classes were going and the animals were loving the attention.

When coming through please be mindful that we do have families with children walking. Please drive slow and not up to the barn the parking is where we need vehicles to stop. We have it blocked off for a reason.
