Dezart Performs is pleased to present the cast of COME FROM AWAY, opening November 18th! The cast includes (L-R) Jason Ayestas, Tym Brown, Molly Chiffer, Joslynn Cortes, Malachi Durant, Lauren Elder, Tim Ewing, Stephanie Lynne Mason, Sonia Reavis, Laura Stearns, Colin Thomson and Nathan Wilson.

Today's Desert Sun article covered the Dezart Performs' 2025-2026 season wrap party last month at Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge in Palm Springs.

Artistic Director Michael Shaw discussed the nonprofit theater company's successful season, the first in its work-in-progress Dezart Playhouse. Now in Phase 2, the theater is being equipped with an indoor bar, new theater seats, new bathrooms, and more. Appreciation Awards were presented to several individuals for their contributions, including David C. Lee. Shaw concluded by announcing the 2026-27 season that will start with the hit musical, COME FROM AWAY.

Gay Desert Guide writes, "Dezart Performs has entered a pivotal new chapter as Phase Two of the Dezart Playhouse transformation begins, advancing the adaptive reuse of the former First Church of Christ, Scientist into a fully equipped, modern performing arts center. Following the successful completion of Phase One during Season 18, the company now moves forward with major upgrades supported by a generous additional $200,000 gift from writer/producer and longtime supporter David Clark Lee, who has challenged the community to match his contribution.
