In conjunction with Community Cats of Palm Coast (CCOPC) in their Grand Opening Event of their CCOPC Thrift Store at their new location, K.Kirkpatrick Art is participating in a raffle for you to win your very own personalized pet portrait!

*100% of raffle ticket proceeds benefit CCOPC to help cats in need! 😺

Drawing will be held for one winner at this event by a CCOPC volunteer. The winner will be issued a certificate by CCOPC to claim their portrait through K.Kirkpatrick Art, who will then contact winner for portrait details. 😊🐾

Winner chooses one pet to be drawn whether it's a Rainbow Bridge pet, a current pet, or one you're adopting. All I'll need is a good, clear reference photo.
It will be a hand-drawn, full color portrait using pastel pencil on 9x12" quality art paper in an 11x14" matted frame.
*Portrait will take approximately 3-4 days until completed. Once completed, the portrait will be available for pick up at this CCOPC location. 😊

I usually try to avoid drawing people, as that's not within my comfort zone, but I did do these recently..
One was for my fiance; the other for me. Neither are for sale, but just wanted to add them to my page for viewing 😊

I've been asked why I use only two very particular brands of expensive art paper for my pastel pencil drawings, aren't they all the same?
No. Some paper is very grainy. The "tooth" of the paper is too large, and can result in a honeycomb look that won't smooth out despite many layers of pastel.
This one was done as a practice drawing on such paper. Quality materials make a huge difference!
The reference photo was taken by my fiance, on our deck as our little friend was awaiting more peanuts. I entitled this one "Peanut Hopes" 😊
