The work of Spencer Chalk-Levy delves into historical narratives โ sometimes based on classical literature, lore, or art history โ and connects them with themes personal to the artist.
Chalk-Levy taps into modern painting and drawing techniques with acute sensitivity while drawing upon the pictorial languages of historical art genres. Simultaneously, he injects contemporary elements through his attentiveness to palette and ability to parse out which figurative details are required to express his vision. Colliding traditional genres, illustration, and subject matter, Chalk-Levy has developed his own distinct visual vernacular.
Spencer Chalk-Levy will be displaying new digitally-woven tapestries and Styrofoam sculptures come March at our Palm Beach Outpost.
Earlier this summer, #BrianKenny took a trip to Providence to create a large scale public mural for @open_door_health via @aveuepvd
Brian explains his love of creating public murals and hopes this work resonates with the LGBTQIA+ community by highlighting their representation on a larger scale.

Soaring high overhead at 30 feet tall, "Rocket" by #HubertPhipps catches the eye of any bystander. The monumental sculpture was recently selected for an Art in Public Places initiative in South Florida at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus. In this historic landmark, the first IBM Personal Computer made its mark.
The 2,200 square foot stainless steelwork is an intersection between art and science, with a nod to Sci-Fi retro-futurism. It stands in front of the Brutalist-designed building created by architectural modernist Marcel Breuer. The powerful visual impact felt upon witnessing Hubert Phipps's newest sculpture celebrates the heroics of modern engineering while shaping future design concepts.
As stated by Irvin Lippman, the Executive Director of the
Boca Raton Museum of Art, "Rocket boldly captures that heroic lift-off with a sense of awe and wonderment. Its polished surface further enlivens the sculpture reflecting the sky, lawns, lights, and the people moving around the park, welcoming interaction with visitors โ perfectly encapsulating the experience of art in public places."

Inspired by the current hysterics of the space race, Carles explores a futuristic realm of resource extraction as well as the possibility of commercializing and colonizing foreign planets. Here the viewer is transported into a scene of extraction, industrialization of space, and the terrifying opportunities that come with the newest frontier - the very stars we've been staring at for eons.

Welcome to the Land of the Forget Me Nots, a futuristic world created by our very own, #RogerAllanCleaves.
Cleaves uses abstract figuration and distortion to warp our perceptions, creating a playground where his character drawings are able to play.
One of Rogerโs main characters, Bookie, who has been featured in many of his recent works, is a rambunctious, free spirited, trickster-type who finds himself in the center of mischief during his fun seeking adventures.
His powers are still growing, and soon weโll discover exactly what he is capable of.

Tayeba Begum Lipi is a Bangladeshi artist whose work engages with the politics of gender and identity through an investigation of signs, symbols, and icons. In the โSecretโ series, which includes the above work, razor blades take on the form of objects, like a Balenciaga Bag, which we associate with comfort, warmth, and feeling confident with something sharp, cold, and potentially violent; all while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the referenced real-world object. The final form comes together to form a visually-stunning critique of the interplay between perceptions of luxury imposed on the females and the violence perpetuated against the female body.

These works highlight the breadth of Bernsteinโs career, peeking into contemporary โtribesโ seen at such places like Studio 54, Mudd Club, and Paradise Garage. Diversity and inclusion are the main themes in his documentation of the former clubland.
