This vanity made a 10 hour trip to me and needed a lot of love. After a deep cleaning and removal of the mirrors (plus some other changes to the body), I primed in BIN clear synthetic shellac primer. I then base coated in Mélange Artisan Mineral Paints in the color Pontchartrain green mixed with Saltwash. I then worked in the color fairy ring and Saturday white by melange paints (also mixed with saltwash). I layered and blended until I was happy and then softened the colors by mixing vinegar and a little bit of Saturday white and "washing" the entire piece with this mix. This just helped to pull the colors together, soften them as well as give it an even better aged appearance.

Next I applied Re·design with Prima decor transfer vintage dream as well as pieces from butterfly botanic (bottom right drawer). I also used a few stamps from imperial crackle (check comments), I see Paris and vintage wallpaper stamp (drawer sides and top). I used Annie Sloan craqueleur over the transfers to give it the crackle and then added some brown wax over that.

The drawers have been lined in peel and stick paper from Amazon and as mentioned above, drawer sides feature vintage wallpaper stamp (stamped with Saturday white paint).

A little sanding back reveals the underneath color and then some sealing (whenever it cools enough to do that!), finishes her up. The hardware is new and from Lee Valley Tools.

This one was fun but I'm so ready for a break. The heat is unbearable here and most of my future projects require a lot of messy prep which must be done outdoors. I plan to take a 4 to 5 week break from furniture painting but I'll be sure to keep posting and maybe make some smalls during this break.
