"The epitome of human kindness." 🎭

Tom Dolan has been part of the Market House Theatre family for decades — he was performing here on September 11, 2001, in a comedy called Funny Money, and remembers how hard it was to make an audience laugh in the days after. Twenty-five years later, he's back on our stage playing Oz in Come From Away, a story he calls "the epitome of human kindness."

Before she was grounded in a small Newfoundland town on September 11, 2001, Captain Beverley Bass had already made history — she became American Airlines' first female captain in 1986, after years of pushing against an industry that told her it couldn't be done.

We're thrilled to introduce Victoria Kitchen, who brings Bass's story to life in our production of Come From Away this fall. It's one of dozens of true stories woven into this musical about the 7,000 stranded passengers who found unexpected kindness in Gander, Newfoundland.
