Jaelon "Majiggk" Harris has graced our stage before. This time, he's carrying the weight of one of musical theatre's most iconic roles.
BroadwayWorld sat down with Jaelon ahead of opening night to talk about portraying Jesus as a man under pressure, the power of an inquiry-driven rehearsal room, and what this production means for the community that helped shape him as an artist.
Don't miss Jaelon in Jesus Christ Superstar, opening TOMORROW, June 4-20, 2026.

Jaelon 'Majiggk' Harris discusses portraying Jesus in Market House Theatre's contemporary production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, exploring power, identity, and the human pressures behind an icon.

One week changed everything.
Witness the story told around the world through the eyes of Judas Iscariot β€” his closest friend, and the man history would remember as his betrayer.
Come see Jaelon "Majiggk" Harris as Jesus, Adam Cooper as Judas, and Tiffany Dawn Ferrell as Mary Magdalene lead a company of more than 20 local artists giving this story life.

Congratulations to McCracken County Theatre on winning 7 Bradley Awards at the 2nd Annual KPA Bradley Awards! These artists are a testament to the incredible talent right here in Western Kentucky and a reminder of how much our community invests in the arts.

Jack Nelson will represent Kentucky at the Jimmy Awards on June 22, and we couldn't be more excited to cheer him on from Paducah.

Market House Theatre was proud to support the show with lighting, props, and scenic design. The arts are alive and well in this region. GO MUSTANGS! 🎭

🍦 Random Act of WOW!

The Paducah Bank WOW Wagon recently stopped by Market House Theatre to share a little appreciation and a sweet treat with their team, along with the crew from Triangle Enterprises who were hard at work on site.

Market House Theatre has been enriching our community through the performing arts for generations, and we’re grateful for everyone who helps keep this local treasure thriving.

Thank you to the Market House Theatre team and the Triangle Enterprises crew for all you do to make Paducah a better place. We hope you enjoyed your sweet treat! πŸ’™

Ben Grimes enlisted in the Army at 30 years old after years of pursuing a professional acting career in New York. He served in the 75th Ranger Regiment, deployed twice to Iraq, and when he came home for the last time, he returned to theatre. Not as an escape, but as a way to process what he'd carried. That experience reshaped everything about how he thinks about what theatre is for.
Beyond Theatre Collective's "Honoring Veterans in Theatre" feature spotlights Ben alongside five other veterans who found their way to the stage or the rehearsal room. He talks about the unexpected parallels between military life and theatre, why he believes soldiers and theatre people have more in common than anyone expects, and why he thinks live theatre matters now more than ever β€” one of the few things, as he puts it, that AI cannot replicate.
Now leading Market House Theatre as Managing Artistic Director, Ben brings the discipline, the hard-won perspective, the deep belief that art can heal into everything we do here in Paducah.
Give it a read. πŸ‘‡

We are overwhelmed with gratitude. 🎭

Thanks to more than three dozen households, we've raised $9,772 toward our $20,000 goal. Kentucky Gives Day may be over but, the need still persists.

Every dollar is going directly toward stabilizing our Production & Scene Shop in Paducah's historic Ideal Reel building, the place where every MHT show begins..

As we head into our 63rd Season, themed An Act of Community, we're reminded that protecting places like this only happens when people come together.

We're halfway there. Can you help us close the gap? Donate today at mkt.show/kygives

Thank you. We appreciate your continued support.🀍
