Tonight as I was drenched in sweat and smelling like fish fertilizer while watering my garden, I figured I’d get out Sue (my camera) and take some snaps to share. After all, it is my pride & joy this summer. It’s basically the only thing making me enjoy summer. My lens kept fogging up, and I thought the haze made the shots even more interesting. I’m still a newb gardener, and I can tell you it is humbling. You dedicate tons of time and expense to having to deal with pests and deer using it as a buffet. Take the last photo in this carousel for example, zinnias are supposed to be “easy” and mine are puny and sad. I sure do love this hobby though. My garden just makes life feel more whimsical. This morning I think I counted 10 butterflies fluttering around. I love hearing my girls tell me about a new flower blooming, or watching them water the grass instead of the containers. It makes a wonderful view for the porch view coffee drinking. I’m one of those people with too many hobbies, but I hope this one sticks, and I’m excited to see how it evolves over the years. If you have a garden, please share some wisdom or tips below in the comments.
