Today, the world lost someone special 💔

Dolly Parton was so much more than a country music legend. She was a songwriter, storyteller, actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, and most importantly someone who never seemed to forget where she came from.

Years ago, I painted this portrait of Dolly. At the time, I simply wanted to capture that unmistakable smile and the woman behind the music. Because
Dolly had a way of making people feel like they belonged. She proved that you could be glamorous and humble, wildly successful and still deeply connected to your roots. She gave people songs to cry to, songs to dance to, and songs that became part of their lives.

Her kindness wasn't just something she sang about she also lived it. Her generosity, her love of children, her Imagination Library, and the countless lives she touched will continue long after the stage lights go dark.

Rest easy, Dolly. 🌹

I'm still sick but still moving...Just slower 😂
This Saturday is the last franklin street bazaar. Its crazy how fast summer went by! Autumn is my favorite season though so once I get my sinus issues under control I'm ready to start enjoying it! I'll be posting September's event schedule later this week! Hope you have an amazing night 🌙
