So, I've been working on something fun for the last few weeks. I have been hard at work building up inventory for coasters and am just starting on trivets! I will have singles, 2 piece, and 4 piece coaster sets as well as individual trivets and trivet + coaster sets available, hopefully next month. In the meantime, these are a few of my absolute faves ♥️

Super pleased with how this turned out! This was made with recycled wall paneling and I used house paint from ReStore as the base. It took several attempts to figure out the paint consistency and how much to use to get that nice celling and lacing without having all my pigment sucked into the base.

Trying out two new painting techniques. Definitely room for improvement here but there is some cool stuff going on.

Hide & Reveal: this was created by layering VERY thin layers of paint on top of each other, covering the whole thing with black, and then using a palette knife to drag/swipe out the layers.

Powdered paints: the red and emerald green are built up from mica powder that I dissolved and then added to my pouring medium. I was hoping for something a bit more translucent so it would show more of the color layers underneath, but the shimmer is still very captivating.

A few new pieces to share this week. These are 12" x 12" wood plank paintings. The left and right were both swipe paintings. The middle was a flip cup.

A few "In Progress" shots from my latest painting, Sea Glass. It's a 12" x 16" upcycled wood panel painting produced with a single flip cup pour.

Yes, it's AI generated. Yes, I see the irony. No, I don't care 😂

Playing around with a new medium/technique. As much as I love pour painting and manipulating designs and not knowing exactly what will come out of it, I do like the relative simplicity and predictability of dragging color like this.

Fun abstract fluid painting!

This weekend I did spin table paintings with the kids. This one, with one of my sons, started as a center pour with fun sunset colors and turned into a pretty cool kraken.

We set out to make a cool abstract, and somehow ended up with an acrylic pouring Kraken! My son and I tackled a fun project using a spin table and a center p...
