Our Story
COREY FINNEY of EXALTED DIRT: The initial concept for "A Praise in the Park" was to get to play some of my music live for the public to hear, thus fulfilling a nearly 20-year old vision of mine. I asked my Pastor, John Boggs, if he'd be willing to let the church Praise Band accompany me on stage, and he loved the idea. I also said I wanted him to perform some of his own music, and he agreed to that as well. I recruited one of my brothers and a couple old friends from my days at the Doylestown United Methodist Church to help me flesh out Exalted Dirt. One of those fellows uses the pseudonym Jason Frank to record his own music, so I invited him to join the roster. From there the event developed a format similar to Christian Harbor's monthly Youth Pulse services. I invited one of my local favorites, Juanetta Romaine, to speak at the event, and she also accepted. The event was free to the public, as will be all succeeding years. From the initial date in 2016, I have attempted to make this event larger each time. Maybe someday it’ll be bigger than Woodstock!

Karen Garrard Jones and I welcome Jennifer Plumer Harris, who joined us just last weekend. The three of us will be doing a bit of stuff from the days when we all led worship out at the The Doylestown United Methodist Church - OH, as well as some newer things, including an original I composed.
My Pastor, John Boggs, confirmed his attendance for September 9. He will be doing a few of his own southern gospel ditties.
Karen Garrard Jones will be joining me for the date. I'm glad she made herself available for this date. We will be doing some techno-rock CCM praise and worship songs.
As stated on the event page, I was forced to cancel the July 22 date. However, there is a possibility we can try again on September 9. I will have details soon concerning whether this will work.
