Epic Ganesh

trippy//heavy//pretty(words+sound) music from Tallahassee, Florida

With a meticulously raw sound that stirs the heart and invigorates the soul, Epic Ganesh's songs continue a journey that began with early psychedelia into a vibrant, transcendental utopia. Organically crafted to lyrics that simultaneously arouse existential doom and pure bliss in the listener, Connor Long's transient and stirringly vulnerable vocal expositions glide over, under and through an array of hypnotically stimulating guitar riffs which are carefully matched by Ci Ci's ticklish, rebellious grooves and masterfully colored by Dallas's equally invigorating bass lines. Their debut self-titled record, out on the winter solstice of 2020 is entirely self-recorded and produced, lush with an eager spirit of creative musical discovery and featuring collaborations with several of the band's talented friends. The album features songs Connor wrote in the band's formative months as he was living on the VW-bus laden, Krishna-infused "bliss farm" belonging to a friend (who was also the original drummer of the band). Originally, the album was intended to be a simple EP, but in it's carefree, entranced blossoming in the studio it organically became an accessibly psychedelic, occasionally experimental and profoundly emotional 32-minute post-progressive experience.

Happy fourtw-easter 🙏🏻 here's a totally satanic pic of us with the legend Nick DiSalvo better known as the brain but what we're really tryna say is we've been mostly focused on these days so take a swipe and check it out --- it's a lil darker and more dystopian, but hey, this project (Epic Ganesh) is still active too, and guess what... we're probably gonna turn it all into one big super band anyway... uhhhh cheers!

Seesí, here. Our dear beloved riff wizard has reached a climax of back pain. It's been on and off for half of his life - nowadays he tells me it stays at a 7 out of 10. You probably don't even know about it because he is such a humble dude and keeps it to himself, carrying on as best he can. He has been using ketamine and cannabis to manage the pain, at the expense of his psychological clarity, and it only lasts a few hours. We have had to pause rehearsing as a band because it hurts for him to stand and play. His dishes are piling up because it hurts even to stand and wash them. He is struggling to make ends meet, and his depression is worsening because of the condition. He needs to spend a lot of time lying down just to manage the pain. He is going to get to the bottom of it in January with a new health insurance plan. In the meantime, I am launching this gofundme to help him get through December. He says chiropractic adjustments help him live a "normal life" for a few days. The $600 goal is to get him 3 $50 adjustments a week for four weeks. In exchange, if you're interested, we will send you an unreleased demo of what we've been working on as a band. Anything helps. Let's help Connor get through this next month!

Kudos to Tesseract for the ambition to make a VR world/game based off of their upcoming album. This is something we've been visualizing for ourselves for years now and it's very cool and inspiring to see a band we love with access to resources making it happen 👏👏👏

PCGamesN spoke exclusively to UK prog-metal band Tesseract to discuss its new VR game created for the War of Being album promo cycle.
