Ok, so first thing I want everyone to know is that I have been incredibly busy over the last couple years and slowly but surely I have let this blog just about die without updates. I hope that will change and I will start posting weddings more frequently.
Elise and Adam's wedding is one that I missed posting a couple years ago. Time flew by me and I wanted to post it on their wedding anniversary… last year! Here we are two years later and I missed their anniversary again but at least this time it's only by a few days. So, with that being said, here is their story.
I met Elise almost 10 years ago, introduced by my brother in law, who was in high school at the time. Elise and David were in drama together and were great friends. Because of that friendship, my wife and I befriended her as well. When my first son, Zach, was born, Elise become his closest non-family member. She babysat Zach throughout his early years so much that at one point our son, at the age 3, said that he was going to marry her. It was tough breaking the news to Zach that she was engaged, but we were all very happy for her. When Elise asked if Zach would be a ring bearer we were excited, if not a bit nervous, that Zach would be ok doing it. I was even more honored that she asked that I be her wedding photographer. I teased her forever that she was going to get tons of photos of my son, the ring bearer, and just a few of her and Adam! This blog post has only 3 shots of him… not too bad considering the proud dad I am!
My wife and I met Adam before they were engaged and I can remember coming home late at night when Elise was babysitting listening to her and my wife talk about how much she really liked Adam. It was no surprise to us that they were engaged. I have always thought that Adam was a great match for her.
Elise and Adam got married and had their ceremony on a very warm and steamy May day. The venue was the Lake Mary Events Center, which really is a great venue. I had shot there a couple times before so I was looking forward to the big day. I was surprised how nervous I was shooting a friends wedding, but everything worked out just great. Elise was a beautiful bride and Adam looked slick in an all white tux. We shot the formals outside and it got very warm till we moved over to the shade of the cypress oaks on the lake. We finished up inside for the reception, with a formal exit to the car on the way to their hotel. I had a blast shooting the wedding, my wife got to see first hand how much work it really is to shoot a wedding…. oh and my son nailed being the ring bearer on the entry and the exit!!
Happy 2nd anniversary, Elise and Adam!
