Sometimes it’s the little things in life that hold the most value! Wasn’t sure I was going to be able to make this happen… but with a little bit of Magic, anything’s possible! I made sure to tell Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and many others how much they inspire me and the paintings I create!

I made it my goal this vacation to get Mickey and Minnie to sign the invitation to my solo exhibition at the Monmouth Museum! Let’s just say I made that happen and a little more!!! This invitation is now a 1/1 special for my personal collection and I look forward to getting it framed for a wall in the studio! These two signed cards are already in card sleeves and will get better protection on it soon! Thank you Goofy, Minnie and Mickey for memories that will last me a life! Seeing Minnie kissing my card because she loved it so much is a memory I’ll never lose! Swipe and see the magic being made!

“Pigment of Your Imagination” is running from now through September 6th in the Nilson Gallery at the Monmouth Museum- I highly suggest seeing it when you get the chance!! This exhibition consists of a total of 28 paintings from my latest Contemporary Series! Be on the lookout for announcements about possible Artist-led Workshops at the Monmouth Museum this summer! I’m looking forward to seeing you there! So are my works!!

Hopefully next stop is showcasing with Disney D23 and Disney Fine Art 🙌 maybe one day The Walt Disney Family Museum these works are the definition of unique and elegant! Come see the memories from your childhood pictured in a way never seen before!

Buzz Lightyear to Star Command. Come in, Star Command. Star Command, come in. Do you read me?! I want to report… Mission Complete! Masterpiece complete. “Too Infinity, too beyond” is the third Toy Story themed painting from my Contemporary Series! Something tells me this isn’t the last one I’ll be making either!!

I’m not going to sugar coat this one… Buzz was the most difficult painting I’ve made to date! It was a piece where everything that could go wrong, went wrong on it, but I worked hard on the mission and stayed the course. That’s what these paintings are all about! They all start with a vision… and it’s about not losing that vision no matter what the piece may look like throughout the process. It’s knowing that layer 35 might not look pretty, but it’s a necessary step in getting to layer 75 or 100 - the layers where you see the hard work has paid off!

Buzz, like his best friend Woody, had some tough elements to capture - unlike most of the other characters I’ve portrayed, Buzz is very mechanical (color wise greys and whites)! I just wanted to make sure that when I painted him, the colors were going to properly “Pop”. His space suit is basically one color besides its special features, but if I positioned everything properly, it would turn out exactly like I imagined! Contrast is a heck of a tool when used properly! To say I put effort into planning and creating this painting… well that would be an understatement!

It’s a real Buzz Lightyear!! And in a couple days you’ll be seeing my abstract take on the “toy” who can fly To Infinity and Beyond!

I originally planned on showcasing the final piece tonight, but there were some complications with final steps of the piece, so unfortunately you’ll have to wait until Sunday (as long as all goes well)! What are some examples of complications you ask!? Well to start, I usually wear a beanie, or a hat on my head when painting but I forget why! Sometimes my hair falls out randomly and unfortunately it got scattered on the background (I blame Lyme)! Good news is I plucked it all off and painted over that!! And it’s semi, good as new! Now onto the next step - Varnishing!! After that comes a signature, and then Buzz gets to hang with Woody - literally and physically!!! Tune in for the big reveal this Sunday!

When I started this painting, there was snow on the ground and a big beard on my face! Over a hundred layers of paint and four months later, here we are getting closer to completing this masterpiece!

Welcome to another Artist Process Friday!

This is definitely the most complicated and layered piece I’ve painted in a while (ironically, since Woody)! Swipe and scroll through the photos to see my next painting come alive! I’m pretty sure it’s getting a bit more obvious, but let me know who you think I’m painting below! I’ll give you a hint! You just need to think from Infinity to Beyond!

My home for the summer !!

Over the next few weeks I’ll be spoon-feeding some content from the show!

I’ll also be posting the LARGEST PAINTING from my Contemporary Series to date!! Did I mention that it’s included in the show! More of a reason to go check it out!

For anybody that attended, please send me all the photos you took those days because I was way too focused the entire time to capture it with my phone! Thursday was such an action packed showing there wasn’t even a moment to snap a full photo with my family!

Lucky for me, and luckily for those who have yet to see it, my show will be up from now through September 2nd - meaning you have all summer to show your support!!
