Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Sally Chastain Evans, and art has been the passion of my life for as long as I can remember. I earned my BFA in Graphic Design and Fine Art from the University of South Carolina and began my career as a graphic artist before following my dream of becoming a full-time painter over 30 years ago. That background in design continues to shape my paintings with strong composition, bold color, and expressive style.

Nature is my greatest inspiration. Whether I’m painting the dramatic landscapes of New Mexico, the peaceful beauty of Florida, colorful birds, blooming flowers, or the sparkle of the ocean, my goal is to create artwork that brings joy and reminds us to appreciate the beauty all around us. I also love creating custom pet portraits, capturing the personality and spirit of the beloved companions who become part of our families.

Some of my greatest artistic influences are Georgia O’Keeffe, Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, and the incredible American Indian artist John Nieto. My husband and I have collected more than 600 art books over the years, and I never stop learning, exploring, and finding new inspiration. Every painting is an opportunity to experiment with color, tell a story, and share a little happiness.
Here you’ll find new paintings, works in progress, behind-the-scenes moments from my studio, workshop announcements, and glimpses into my creative life.

Thank you for following along and being part of this journey. I hope my artwork inspires you to see the world with fresh eyes, embrace color, and find beauty wherever life takes you.
