Espresso meets its soulmate because National Coffee Ice Cream Day deserves a love story with a caffeine kick. ☕🍨

What we got:
- Plant-based Affogato (Vegan, Gluten Free)
Plant-based Vanilla Gelato, Coconut Milk Caramel, Chocolate Cookie, and Freshly Brewed Espresso

Where we went:
📍 Tony's Town Square Restaurant
- Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park

National Coffee Ice Cream Day has been around longer than most of Main Street’s brickwork. The holiday goes all the way back to the 1800s when coffee ice cream showed up in parfaits, cookbook experiments, and eventually became a Howard Johnson’s menu staple right alongside vanilla and chocolate. Basically, humans have been obsessed with caffeinated dessert for over a century, so we decided to honor the tradition the Magic Kingdom way with a plant‑based affogato from Tony’s Town Square that tastes like history and science all poured into one cup.

Happy National

Steakhouses define the top tier of Disney dining and we’re ranking them all 🥩🔥

Some restaurants at Walt Disney World don’t just serve dinner, they dominate the dining landscape, and there is no better place to find that than Disney World steakhouses. They are the heavy hitters with rooms where the lighting, the service, and the menu all conspire to make the night feel bigger than whatever you ordered. Whether you’re go for steak, seafood, plant‑based options, or inspiration for meals at home, these are the places that set the tone for what fine dining at Disney actually means.

If you want to know which steakhouses actually deliver a top‑tier Disney dining experience, which ones you should lovingly redirect your enemies toward, and which ones sit at the absolute top of the kingdom, our Walt Disney World steakhouse guide breaks down every standout before you book your next reservation.

It appears Le Cellier Steakhouse may have finally conquered the vegan Caesar salad. 🥗

What we got:
- Caesar Salad (Vegan)
Romaine, Bibb, Frisee, Radish, Pine Nut Gremolata, Plant-based Caesar Dressing

Crispy lettuce and the plant-based Caesar have shown us the magic. With the gremolata bringing this salad down to earth, all it is truly missing is big crunchy croutons. We have hope and until then we have flavor that does not stop.

August moved fast with surprise menu drops, the start of spooky season, Halloween Horror Nights, and the first wave of Food & W**e excitement. We were in the parks 20 out of 31 days, the most we’ve stayed home in months, but still enough to catch every major update. 🍁🍂 🎃🍂🍁

Here are our top 10 new items of August 2026, listed in the order we tried them:
August 3rd: Ale & Compass - Hearts of Palm Croquette Protein Hash
August 10th: Polite Pig - Limited Time Lamb Shank
August 12th: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar - Limited Time Candelabra Eggs
August 13th: Hollywood Brown Derby - Braised Duck Pappardelle
August 17th: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin - Limited Time Fried Brussels Sprouts
August 17th: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin - Limited Time Pumpkin Bread Pudding
August 22nd: Le Cellier - Almond‑Crusted Salmon
August 25th: Narcoossee’s - Apple Galette
August 29th: EPCOT Food & W**e - Sweet Chile‑Lime Plant‑Based Chicken Strips
August 31st: EPCOT Food & W**e - Bo Ssam Pork Poutine

August kept us busy across Disney World and Universal Orlando, with 195 total items tasted throughout the month including 90 brand‑new dishes and spanning 64 vegan, 45 vegetarian, 49 gluten‑free, 11 pescetarian, 10 pollotarian, and 31 everything‑else items. It was a wide, eclectic mix of late‑summer releases and early‑season surprises, so be sure to check out anything you might have missed.

Orange you excited to try the Italy Pavilion's newest Epcot Food and W**e dessert? 🍊

What we got:
- Almond Panna Cotta (Vegetarian, Gluten Free)
with Orange Marmalade, Whipped Cream, and Candied Almonds

We had hope for this one. We wished this could be the orange flavor redemption to save the reputation of the Italy Festival booth. It's not quite that. Not awful but not exactly mind breaking. In a park with so many sweet treats you won't miss anything by skipping it.
