The back of my house where these beautiful flowers grow. I tried to capture the light and shadows in the morning when the sun hits this area.

I think I may make the flowers the focal point next time…and much brighter.

This was a plein air in my yard and sketchbook today. I’m glad I finished outside even though it’s 90 degrees out. 🥵

This was the first time I actually created a piece using watercolor. I played with it before but not really explored the medium. I had a lot of fun. I also used layers crayons and pastels.

This stemmed from a drawing prompt by Veronica lawyer’s book called One Drawing a Day.
