The tides carry all myths eternal…🔱🌊✨

Since the beginning of the year I’ve made quite a few inspired pieces to commemorate the beautiful landscapes of the lost continent. I’ve had a plan to make this own for a while but had to get around what I wanted to do with it presentation wise.

Seems like a relevant day to post this, not only am I departing on the high seas, but also they put more walls to cover him today! 😮

What was your most memorable ‘lost continent’ moment?! I for one remember dueling dragons being a lot of fun! 👀

🎺🎭 “Here we are… closing night!” 🎭🎺

Today marks the anniversary of the opening of Muppet*Vision 3D and regardless of its fate it is still a glorious, chaotic masterpiece.

Over the past two years I’ve made a bunch of MuppetVision-inspired pieces, from plaques and signs to weird little tribute pieces that probably only make sense to fellow fans of the preshow and the fountain outside 😅

These projects have been such a blast because they’re not just based on an attraction, they’re based on memories! The kind of attraction you quote with strangers and realize you should be friends.

The temple is closed🌙✨

And just like that it comes to the end of an era. All that towering stonework, giant statue pieces, torches, themed music, Poseidons fury(yes I know we lost it a bit ago), and the mystic fountain, gone but not forgotten.

The scenery of this island was beautiful and I can only hope they put equal effort into its replacement! You know how I am, I ended up creating a whole series of tribute pieces inspired by the sights of this now historic land!

CELEBRATING THE SAM-iquincintennial! 🦅

I finished these golden Sam Eagle inspired plaques and then decided I had to make a post to show them off. Did I make the post mainly to make that joke with the name? Yes, yes I did 😆

Each one is layered, hand finished, and coated in enough red white and blue to bring a tear Sam’s eye! 🇺🇸✨

STRAIGHT from Yew Nork City on the planet Zork!🎶

When I say I’ve had an obsession with the awesomeness(and silliness!) of Sonny Eclipse for years that’s an understatement. In fact one of the first animatronics I wanted to see up close was Sonny, poor guy was in rough shape but I loved every second of it!

This one literally took a year. I sketched a bunch of different pose. Hated it, hated his look, it’s hard to get motion and stuff I wanted, then the funny thing is I ran across an old Mac Tonight advertisement(IYKYK) from the 80s and it started me down a path that I loved!

And the glitter, ugh yall know how glitter is when it comes to crafts lol but this one needed as much shine as possible! Hopefully you guys find it a fitting tribute to one of the coolest animatronics ever created, and just a throwback to an era I wish we still had, at least we have this little piece still!

Bright suns and may the 4th be with you! 😬

I pulled out an oldie for this one, and figured what better day to give it away than May the 4th! This one is an old tribute to the iconic outpost on the edge of the galaxy, Black Spire! A fancy bronze plaque to commemorate such a hive of scum and villainy!

🔥 “The billboard… it’s real!” PART DEUX🔥

I took a ton of glamor shots today of this one and thought it was worth posting a few to show it off a bit more lol, plus scroll to see a couple of close ups of the hidden details!

Really proud of this one it was challenging with all the textures and the color palette but I’m insanely happy with the final results! I think it captures a lot of what makes the ride great!

Now what billboard should I tackle next?!

From the depths he rises…

Here’s another batch of monsters, this time inspired by the Gill-Man, from Creature from the Black Lagoon! I reimagined this guy as a wooden style figure, a bit weathered and rustic and looking like he was pulled straight from the weeds at a lagoon, or perhaps from Ygor’s lab, who knows?!

I love these because there’s a slight ‘wonkiness’ that the hand painting gives them and adds character to each one of them which means they’re all very much a one of one original! (I guess technically everything I make is!)

Now our favorite question, what would a group of Gill-men be called? 😆

She’s alive…ALIVE ⚡️👰🏻‍♀️

I couldn’t resist taking some group photos once I brought all these to life, so here’s a full lineup of my Bride inspired ‘wood’ figures.

Each one hand painted, including the iconic white hair streaks and some subtle cracks and weathering, i like to make these feel like eerie little relics pulled straight out of a lab in your favorite Manor 😉

Okay yeah… had to do it 😂

I couldn’t resist getting a group shot of these guys together and yes, they’re on a tray. No, I will not be explaining. The shop operates on pure chaos and some bit of control at this point lol

These were way too much fun to paint. Each one’s got its own little quirks, and now they’re just about ready to shuffle off to their new homes (probably to assist in some totally safe experiments right?! 👀)
