Cast spotlight: meet our beautiful Marionette!

Cherran Dea aka “Miss Daddea D. Vicious” is a Midwest native who’s been popping a pastie in the Orlando burlesque scene for over three years with local troupes Corsets & Cuties, Midnight Fables Cabaret, Foxy’s Den, and Big Bang Boom Collective. She’s also a graduate of the Burlesque Conservatory. You can also catch a glimpse of this ghoulish garter on stage with Orlando’s critically acclaimed Victorian Horror Troupe PHANTASMAGORIA as Dahlia. When she’s not twirling a tassel or weaving whimsically macabre tales, Cherran Dea can be found time traveling in the sky or rewatching How To Train Your Dragon for the Millionth time.

Cast spotlight: meet our Ringmaster! 🎪

Al Milburn is originally from Washington, but has landed in Orlando as a performer, working at several theme parks and theaters around town. One of their dreams is to become an actual circus ringmaster, so they’re getting their trial run in with this show!

Crew spotlight today! Meet Donna Elanor, our composer. Did you know we have both an original script and original music? Today at 6:40pm is your next chance to see this amazing show!

Donna Elanor is a composer, fiddler, and singer/songwriter performing in the Baltimore/DC area for over a decade. Find her performing and composing at Renaissance Faires and Folk Festivals! She's a fan of Cheeky Monkey Sideshow, from which strongman Hot Todd Lincoln is a particular favorite. Fun Fact: Donna is also an avid crafter who knits, crochets, and sews (some of) her own clothes.

Todays spotlight is both cast and crew! Our Director, Travis Eaton jumped into the role of Jack just last week! Luckily he is a fantastic addition to the cast. Next show is tonight at 10:05 in the Blue Venue!

Travis Eaton has been a director, designer and actor in the Orlando area for almost 15 years with a professional career spanning 20 years. Coincidentally, and due to unforseen circumstances, Travis will be doing all three theatrical skills for this exciting new production of Freak Show. Due to his years spent performing in a theme park magic show Travis' favorite side show acts are escape artists.

Crew spotlight: meet the beautiful, talented, amazing choreographer, Elaine “Lanie” Cooksley

Elaine is a performer, Choreographer, producer, dog/cat mom, wife, and soon to be human mom. No stranger to the Orlando performing arts scene or Fringe Festival, this year she’s behind the scenes. She is honored to have been given the opportunity to work with such amazing people and choreograph Freakshow.
Elaine loves watching the Cyr wheel and sword swallowing.
Fun fact- Elaine and her now husband, Daniel, shared their first kiss at the Orlando Fringe.

Crew spotlight: meet our playwright and our stage manager, Ricardo Soltero-Brown!

Ricardo Soltero-Brown is a playwright, actor, and director. His plays include THE JACKET (University of South Florida), THE AMBASSADOR, OR: THE DISARMAMENT OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS (Horizon Theatre Company), NOTHING BUT CHEESE (Horizon Theatre Company), JEALOUSY (Winner of the Florida Playwrights Competition, Valencia College; Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival), BELDAM & GAFFER (Pipsqueak Collective), and THE LAST PLAY (Jeremy Seghers); virtual productions of DISCUSSION PANEL (Aggregate Sound), TO THE TEST (Quarantine Players), and THERE IT IS (Momentum Stage); with staged readings of THE PRINCESS OF CASPIA (Dixon Place), GRIEF (RHCR Theatre; Focal Theatre Lab; Luna Stage Company), and SICK DAY (Dramatists Guild Equality Festival, freeFall Theatre). He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

IT’S OPENING NIGHT!

Today’s meet the cast is our very own producer, musical director, and Ann/ the Chameleon!

Lisa Hulse has always had a love for singing, and studied classically through high school and some college at UCF, and was on track to become a music teacher. Life changed course when she decided to go into massage therapy instead. She loves helping people feel better. She spends her free time with her husband Tim, and two daughters.
This show is her brainchild - something she’s been working toward for a few years, after getting into Burlesque with the Burlesque Conservatory. Merging the two art forms of burlesque and more classically trained singing brings the audience a very unique show. With the politics of societal norms being under such extreme scrutiny, especially recently, she is also excited to share the story of the Freak Show troupe that challenges these ideas.
Her favorite circus or freak show act are the trapeze artists.
