Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 56 DuJuan Cole in "Cherish the Day".
Dujuan is one of Florida's expats who made the move to Atlanta for more opportunities. It was a great decision and paid off when he booked the OWN show "Cherish the Day" created by Ava DuVernay. DuJuan said "My time on set working with Joy Bryant and Henry Simmons was fun and laid back. Joy really gave me the freedom to play with our first line exchange, and Henry really felt like my big cuz lol. The in between take moments were as genuine as the characters played out on scene".
Special thanks to Tracy Kilpatrick Casting.

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 54 Tyler Colfer in Ozark. Fans of the Audition to Booking series will remember Tyler from post # 35 as Jimmy Johnson in the TV show Genius: Aretha. Tyler said, "I was working on Genius: Aretha in Atlanta where Ozark previously filmed at the same studio. When I was walking back to my trailer, I saw some set design that was broken down and labeled “Ozark.” So, naturally, I quickly looked around to insure nobody was looking, and I took a selfie. The next day - Traci called and informed me I had an audition for Ozark! After wrapping on Aretha, I headed home and scheduled a taping session. This was the first time I had ever booked off tape. No callbacks with long car rides back home playing the mind games actors put themselves thru after an in-person audition or callback. I just taped it and boom…booked it. Filming in the middle of covid was challenging. Everyone was super careful and after 30+ covid tests I could finally report to set. I could tell cast and crew were a part of this big family and if you were new, they truly welcomed you in with open arms. Julia Garner (who plays Ruth Langmore) was one of them. I was being paid to work with an Emmy award winning actress who took the time to tell me that I was a good actor and really funny. Me?! After we wrapped- Lisa Emery (Darlene Snell), who was super nice, walks up as I’m covered in fake blood, her shotgun still in hand and says to me, “Well…Sorry I killed you and s**t!” -then walked away and it was the last I ever spoke to her! I have awesome memories from working on Ozark and feel blessed to have gotten to work on it and now seeing my friends and family’s response to it, has made the experience that much more special. I can’t thank Traci enough for all that she does and for allowing me to be apart of the Brevard Talent Group family. Thank you to my beautiful wife Samantha and our son Luke for their support while filming this, as it was in t

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 53 Erin Beute in Creepshow Erin is a member of SAG-AFTRA. Her TV credits include Finding Carter, Outcast, Patsy & Loretta, Shots Fired, and The Vampire Diaries. Erin's passion project is writer and producer of the short Bird's Eye, winner of 15 festival awards. She has developed the short into a feature screenplay along with Women's Work”and Civil Predator. Creepshow can be seen on the streaming service Shudder. Erin auditioned for the role of Bloom on Creepshow in the middle of 2020 quarantine. She said, "There were still a lot of unknowns at that point, as shutdowns became the norm. But whatever delays and reschedules came with it, I was fine. And it was one of the best working experiences of my life—everyone fully appreciating that we were working, thankful to be on set. I have never been in a full body suit before. Just me, sitting around—a deadly monster flipping through recipes in Magnolia Magazine—drinking protein shakes through a straw...the life of an actor working on a horror series! I am very grateful to Traci, Greg, Rusty and Feldstein/Paris Casting. A shout out to Leander Suleiman—thank you for the hundreds of roles you’ve nailed, reading with me.”

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 52 Jordan Woods-Robinson in The Walking Dead Fans of the From Audition to Booking series will remember Jordan from his guest star roles post # 3 Homeland and # 21 for The Right Stuff. Jordan is a working actor and Head Honcho at Book From Tape Acting Studios, where he empowers his actors with theatrical tools to help them book directly from their audition tapes. Classes, Private Coaching, and more at www.BookFromTape.com Jordan said, "My audition for “The Walking Dead was an absolute roller coaster. I first got the audition from Lisa Mae Fincannon when I was on vacation. I taped it in my wife’s grandparents’ kitchen and sent it off. A week later, I got a request for adjustments and re-taped it... then, later that evening, got even more adjustments and re-taped again. There was never an in-person session, it was all through self-tapes. The next day, I got a call saying that they’d gone with someone else. Five minutes later, Traci called back and told me I was still on the table. Then 20 minutes later Traci called back and told me I’d booked the role and needed to be in Georgia by 4:00 pm the next day. Working on The Walking Dead was an incredible experience that spanned 16 episodes (eventually recurring Guest Star) over 4 seasons. Aaron and Eric were the first gay kiss on AMC networks, were a strong loving team on the show, and I heard countless stories from the LGBTQIA+ community after seeing representation on such a large platform. I also got the opportunity to attend conventions around the world meeting fans of Eric and TWD. The conventions were an amazing experience of fans and creatives bonding over the shows they love. Thank you to Traci, Lisa Mae, Julie, Wes, and everyone who helped this all come together!”

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 51 Liz Lafontant in the BET+ TV Show Bruh Liz booked the recurring guest star role of Natalie. She had worked on the show The Oval and was thrilled to work with Tyler Perry again. She said, “This booking was so special to me in numerous ways. I had been in such a drought (as many of us were/are during the pandemic) and I lost hope for a while. I spent a lot of my idle time strengthening my yoga practice as it brought me so much peace in such an uncertain time. One night, August 5, 2020, I received this audition from Traci and saw it at 9 PM while laying in bed. The audition was for a Yoga Instructor! It was six pages of dialogue and due the very next day but I instantly felt connected to the character. I reached out to a good friend and fellow Brevard Talent Group actor and asked him to put me on tape the next day and was available at the next morning. I taped and within 5 days of my submission, Traci called to let me know I was booked! I say all to my fellow actors to trust your instincts, trust your calling to a certain skill, it may be connect to your next role. Working on Bruh during the pandemic was awesome because I truly believe it was the safest place to live, literally! The entire time we shot we lived on set in what Tyler Perry Studios called Camp Quarantine AKA the Bubble. Everyone from cast to crew was required to live at the camp, COVID test regularly, wear masks and social distance so the chances of anyone contracting the virus was slim to none. The entire time I was there - which was nearly a month - we had no positive cases. I also had an amazing time while on set and felt as if there was no place I’d rather be. It was an experience I was so very blessed to have.” Special thanks to Tyler Perry and Kim Coleman Casting.

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 50 Adam Vernier in Outer Banks Fans of the "From Audition to Booking" series will remember Adam from post # 2 in his recurring role in “Queen Sugar” and post # 30 for “Shots Fired.” Adam is a hustler and do what it takes to send quality auditions by the deadline. Season two of Outer Banks is currently # 1 on Netflix. Adam said, “I was so happy to have booked season one in Outer Banks! My part was small, but the scripts were awesome. Before the show premiered I was telling anyone that would listen how great the scripts were. Season one came out when the entire world was stuck at home during the Covid quarantine. The show was #1 for 2 months on Netflix! The first show to return to shooting on Netflix from quarantine was Outer Banks and I got the call from Traci that I was returning. Then I received notice that the producers wanted to see what I did with the material before they could book me. I guess my small part in season one wasn't enough to show them that I had the chops. I recorded the scenes they sent me and sent them off. 12 hours later, they gave me notes and asked me to do it again. I did and I was booked. I started in August 2020 and finished in October of 2020. I ended up with five episodes in season two thanks to flashbacks and recordings of my voice spilling vital information. The difference between shooting season one, when it was a new show and season two, when it was the HUGE hit it became was jaw dropping! I am so very thrilled to have been a part of this moment and this show. I thank the Fincannon's SO much for their never ending belief in me and my work and, of course to Traci, who is everything an actor could hope and pray for as an agent. It is nice to have so many people in your corner!” Special thanks to Lisa Fincannon; Fincannon and Casting Associates.

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 49 Aniria Turney in David Makes Man Aniria is an actress and stand up comedian. Credits include the Netflix film Naked and Chicago Med. Aniria said, "It's not every day that you book a small role on one of your favorite shows! I have been watching David Makes Man since the first season. I am from Miami, where the story takes place, and I can relate to some of the things that the main character, David, goes through. Getting to play Dr. Pentagrast on Season 2 was a fantastic experience! Director Kiel Adrian Scott is definitely an actor's director. He lets actors experiment with their own ideas on set and I was so honored to have had a one-on-one meeting with him via Zoom to discuss Tarell Alvin McCraney's vision of the character. This was proof that there are no small roles!” Thank you to Heather Heinz and her team at Heinz Productions and to OWN.

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 48 Ricky Wayne in Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House Fans of the From Audition to Booking series will remember Ricky from post # 36 from Bloodline. Ricky is an amazing actor who is great with comedy and drama. Ricky said, "This was a really amazing opportunity to perform with one the greats of our generation. Mr. Liam Neeson was always with me for all my coverage and was incredibly generous as well. We shot it in an old abandoned courthouse in Macon. It was awesome to research that time period and Watergate." Special thanks to Mark Fincannon; Finncannon & Associates Casting.

Check out Mark Daniel and Adam Hose in the commercial for Auto Owners Insurance. Special thanks to Eric and Jon from Gorilla for filming in Florida and to Mark Mullen Casting.

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 47 Roberto Escobar in Bloodline Roberto is a renowned actor who has over 34 years of professional acting experience. His vast range of genres include films, hit series, soap operas, and theater in English and Spanish. He has worked in over 40 films, including “Transporter 2,“ “Plantados,” “Persecuted,” “My Father the Hero,” “The Perez Family,” “Change of Heart” directed by Kenny Ortega, and many more. Among his acting credits are international hit series, such as the BBC's “Only Fools and Horses,” “Bloodline,“ “Magic City,” “Burn Notice,“ “Charlie's Angel,” FOX's “Tiempo Final,” and numerous soap operas which are aired internationally in over 100 countries in 35 languages. Among them is Telemundo’s longest running franchise, “El Senor De los Cielos” in which Roberto is a series regular. His outstanding performances have gained him various awards for his work. Included in these are the INTE award for best supporting actor for his rendering of Coronel Santana, a ruthless prison warden, in the international production of “Amantes Del Desierto.” The Association of Art Critics and Commentators awarded him the ACCA Award for the best comedic actor for his portrayal of Freddy in the hit Spanish sitcom “Corte Tropical.” He received the TV y Novelas Award for Best Actor in a TV Series for his role of George Martin in the international hit series “Fuego Verde.” Roberto said, "Thank you for allowing me to share my experience of auditioning and booking the role of J.R. Cardozo in “Bloodline.” I was very excited about this casting because I am a fan of the show and I have always admired Kyle Chandler. While rehearsing for my audition I couldn’t stop thinking about the possibility of working on the show and with Kyle. I think it happens to all actors and we start getting nervous about messing up in the casting and not booking. Then I started applyi

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 46 Tom Nowicki in the AMC show Lodge 49 Fans of From Audition to Booking series will remember Tom from post # 11 from the film “The Gloria's” opposite Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander. Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and received dramatic training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He also spent time as a professional wrestler from 1983 to 1986 as "Lord Larry Oliver" in the Dixie Wrestling Alliance. Tom has an impressive 90+ TV credits and 50+ film credits on his IMDB page spanning from 1984 to 2021. Tom said, “Just to begin, Lodge 49 was maybe the most fun I’ve had working. The material was always utterly original and fresh and we were always encouraged to do whatever we could think of to make it live. We never knew where the next script would take us, other than to someplace strange and wonderful and incredibly cool. The cast, too, was filled with fantastic knuckleheads who never took a straight line to get to the point. Keeping up with actors I’ve worshiped since I started, going toe to toe with people I watched in legendary productions at the Yale Rep, was a gift that never lost its thrill. The producers and directors were the best and most inspiring I’ve ever worked for. I suppose the best thing about playing the recurring role of Bill Dudley was the chance it gave me to pay tribute to my own father. Like Bill, my dad was a starry-eyed dreamer who never caught his break, the best friend you’ll ever have as a kid but also your biggest problem when you needed an actual adult. And like Bill, he was always teetering cheerfully between triumph and ruin, begging you to come along for the ride. The easiest (and maybe the hardest?) character I’ve ever had to create. Bill’s great adventure, what he was actually up to while everybody thought he was dead, was what we were supposed to finally get to in Season 3, which sadly never happened (despit

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 45 Michael Crider in Nashville Michael returned to Florida where he was born, after working as an actor in NY and LA for over 25 years. After receiving his BA in Theater from the University of Florida...GO GATORS...and then his MA in Theater from Rutgers University. Michael has continually worked in television, film and stage around the globe. Select TV credits include Desperate Housewives, Law and Order, Halt & Catch Fire, The Resident, and The West Wing. Film credits include The Front Runner portraying Bob Dole opposite Hugh Jackman, Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House, The Astronauts Wife, and Confirmation. Michael said, “Working on the set of Nashville was great fun for me. I lived in Nashville and my brother and sister-in-law are a well know couple in the Nashville music scene, so I really enjoyed being able to bring my talents into their backyard. Sometimes smaller roles like this one can be challenging, in that you need to be the guy that can come in, hit the right notes quickly and make everyone’s day move right along without a hitch…This was one of those days! Special thanks to Mark Fincannon; Fincannon and Associates Casting.”

Brevard Talent Group Presents: From Audition to Booking # 44 Peggy Sheffield in The Glorias Fans of the "From Audition to Booking" series will remember Peggy from post # 4 from the TV show The Detour. I started representing Peggy in 1995. Credits include TV shows Army Wives, Bloodline, Homeland, The Resident and The Walking Dead. Film credits include Jeepers Creepers and Out of Time. Peggy wrote, directed, and starred in her first play when she was in 2nd grade. She found or created opportunities wherever she could until she graduated from Florida State University with a BFA degree. She accepted an internship at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training where she met some extraordinary people, many of whom became life-long friends. Peggy moved to LA and then NY before moving back to Florida. Peggy said, “Working with director Julie Taymor and Julianne Moore on “The Glorias” was everything an actor would hope for. Both are remarkably talented and generous women. Julie was always right there between takes, talking quietly and encouraging me to go with my gut, try whatever I wanted with each take. Julianne is one of the kindest souls I've ever worked with and went out of her way to chat for a bit and say goodbye once I'd wrapped. Just wearing leather and chains, sporting red hair and a bad ass tattoo would have been great fun, but they made it so much more than that. I'm a lucky girl!” Special thanks to Meagan Lewis Casting.

I am honored to have been cast as a Principal Role in a spot for American Cancer Society. I was taped by Nayshka at Book From Tape Acting Studios. Special thanks goes to my agent Traci at Brevard Talent Group and John Peros Casting!
Some details I’d like to highlight:
🎬 It’s been 8 months since I’ve been on a set.
🎬 While I had booked some theatre this year- it’s my first on-camera booking in over a year.
🎬 My last commercial booking (over 2 years ago) was from the same CD as this most recent one.
🎬 This role was almost impossible to book or predict - the casting asked for “Actors age 20-50, any ethnicity, any gender”- so being chosen when nearly everyone and anyone was being submitted is just a huge compliment to my offers and choices in my tape.
🎬 This is my first booking with my new agent- who I’ve only been with just shy of 2 months.
🎬 I have been consistently auditioning 1-3 times a week for the last 2 years.
🎬 The process of signing with this agent took over 3 months (between first submission, to the official signed-contract )
Right before I landed this gig - I took some uncharacteristic time off. I took 2 whole days + (plus the weekend) off. I was struggling - aching - and barely holding it together. And in the midst of that- I got the call from my agent.
Has I NOT taken that time away to rest- to recover - to mend-- there is NO way I’d have able to do this job.
So my reminders:
💛 Please care of yourself and rest.
💛 You are a person first, and an actor second.
💛 Please stay patient with yourself & your acting career.
💛 Please remember you aren’t made a working actor when you book- it’s in your commitment to all those classes, auditions, and materials that you show up as a working actor
💛 Please remember that what is meant for you will always find you.
We are always so glad when one of our coaches lands a booking! Our very own Clare Lopez booked a Principal role in a Commercial for the American Cancer Society, Clare was coached by Nayshka and is repped by Traci at Brevard Talent Group. Special thanks goes to John Peros Casting
We are so excited for our very own, Jordan Woods-Robinson for a fantastic booking! He’s booked a lead role in the SAG-AFTRA Film, BLINDS WIDE OPEN! Jordan was coached by Adam Vernier and is repped by Traci at Brevard Talent Group. Special thanks goes to the folks at Ringling College!
