45 local artists have painted bottles of wine for our annual Mills 50 Artist Series, which will be held on Wednesday from 6pm until 9pm at Quantum Leap Winery! These one of a kind "art" bottles are the perfect gift for the wine lovers and art lovers on your list! The silent auction features these bottles plus a "Taste of Mills 50" basket, a "Drink around the District" basket, a "Shop til you Drop" basket, an "It's all about Me" basket and many more! This event is a fundraiser for future art projects in our district! The bottles are on display at Great Escape Frame & Art, 1207 N Mills, through Tuesday!
Congratulations to Curtis Carswell, owner of Great Escape Frame & Art on his 30th anniversary! Curtis opened his business on August 21, 1989 in downtown Orlando and moved to the present location at 1207 N Mills in 2006! Commissioner Patty Sheehan presented Curtis with a proclamation declaring today as "Great Escape Frame & Art Day." Dexter, the Great Escape puppy, accepted along with Curtis!
