I don't think I've ever posted a legitimate progress report on everything I'm working on, and there's quite a bit of content, so here's an update on what's going on in my realm:

• The Meadow County Chronicles: I'm over halfway through writing the second draft of the last installment of this collection of horror shorts. There are plans for this book, but not much I can talk about at this moment. I am, however, very excited about the future of this project.

• Gallivant of the Grotesque: There are some changes happening to broaden this brand. I'll be keeping the occasional horror film reviews for you to read on my website, and have video content in development to make GotG a nonfiction horror platform. More on that as it progresses.

• Apparel: I'm currently updating my RedBubble shop, Just My Type (get it? Because writing! 🥁) to include horror homages alongside the writing designs.

So...I've been a little busy and doing my best to be productive. There is, of course, other aspects of life that are in the mix with all of this so don't expect everything to be ready all at once, or immediately, but it will happen, because I believe in it and I appreciate all of you who support me. Thanks for being a part of my ever growing empire!

Find everything I've got thus far at my website. Link in bio.

Hey, what's that up there?

It's a copy of The Town Beyond the Trees displayed in my favorite pizza place, for all to see!

Big thanks to everyone at Ziggie's for supporting fellow local businesses and creatives while serving some of Orlando's best pizza!

Yesterday I autographed a copy of The Town Beyond the Trees for someone for the first time. It felt as surreal as it did amazing. I don't think feeling that legitimate is something I'll ever get used to.

One of my bosses discovered that I'm a horror writer and called me "Author of the Dark".

I happily accept this moniker.

I'm a little late to post this, but yesterday marked one year since the release of my first book, The Town Beyond the Trees! I can't believe how quickly that crept up on me.
I loved writing this story and I can't wait to show the world my next book, which is now in the editing process!

Also, I know I need to be more active on this page. I'm working on that.

It makes my head spin to witness a story evolve into a completely different one in my head.

Do I have a different story now? Do I have two stories? Was the original one crap and should be thrown away? What do I even do with the dregs of the original?

Bu the time I have one answer I'll have a completely new idea. This is my mind on writing.

Gallivant of the Grotesque: In the Tall Grass (2019) – We Be Geeks

For this week's Gallivant of the Grotesque, I reviewed In the Tall Grass, an adaptation of the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill. You can kinda say I went...gallivanting through the Tall Grass. (I'm not sorry)

Follow the link below for the review:

Don't forget, if you're liking Gallivant of the Grotesque and want to show it, you can get the logo on a myriad of things:

As a horror fan you can’t at least appreciate Stephen King’s contribution to the genre. I, for one, adore his work. It’s brutal, emotional, and fiercely unapologetic. There’s no fear in shoving something completely screwed up in our faces and forcing us to enjoy it after we grit our teeth th...

Gonna start going through a box of writing prompts to write audio stories to submit to podcasts. These were picked at random. I'll post choices every now and then.

Gallivant of the Grotesque: Mayhem (2017) – We Be Geeks

Hey everyone!

Gallivant of the Grotesque has this week's review posted. I watched 2017's Mayhem, and it's even more relevant now than it was then. Follow the link below to read, and if you've seen it feel free to discuss it with me!

Art imitates life is a trite phrase many like to use when a movie they see or song they’ve heard vaguely reminds them of an event of their lives, and while the saying is indeed true in some cases, we tend to use it quite generally. However, that doesn’t stand to say that occasionally a piece of ...

Gallivant of the Grotesque: Host (2020) – We Be Geeks

Look! More stuff to announce!

I've started writing a review column for the We Be Geeks podcast website! The column is titled Gallivant of the Grotesque.

This will be my primary location for film reviews. (The Medium page will still be available)

This week, I reviewed Host. Check it out and while you're there, take a look and a listen to all the other We Be Geeks content!

Most people can’t stand gimmicks. They make us feel cheaply condescended to when we’re much smarter than the likes of those who think that tricks akin to a sheet on a string are going to make us lose sleep at night. We want more. We want to be scared, shaken, and spooked by something that comes ...

So far, in my progressing collection of short stories, I have tales of spirits, aliens, a cult family, werewolves, and a take on the Grim Reaper. I'm at a crossroads when it comes to what to write about next. I'd like some input.

Witches or cannibals?
