We’re back from our holiday hibernation and ready to make 2026 our most Well Told year yet. Expect more animation performances, juicy breakdowns, and behind-the-scenes chaos from our crew.

We had a blast contributing to Afterparty, Night School Studio’s hilarious, hellish narrative adventure released in 2020.

Our team at Well Told supported expressive emote animations and design that brought the game’s quirky characters and underworld antics to life.

This project let us lean into our love of stylized character animation and storytelling.

We’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes on Afterparty soon, so stay tuned!

Meet the Wurm. 🐍

A towering figure in The Foglands, this enigmatic foe is only a villain if you’re the kind of person looking for one 👀

We designed the Wurm to feel like a creature native to the land, misunderstood and haunting, more force of nature than monster. Its design came to life through a powerful creative collaboration between the art director Michaela Nienaber and rest of The Foglands art team.

From concept art to sculpt to texture, this creature was a labor of detailed attention, pipeline precision, and cross-functional collaboration.

Happy Halloween🎃! On this spooky day, we are returning to the internet (AH!). Scary... but at least we won’t make you Escape Bloody Mary this time.

Halloween must be our day, because it also marks 8 years since we released our first original game, Escape Bloody Mary, and our animation director, Jennifer Re is STILL is too scared of her own Bloody Mary character animation to play the game😏
