March Break Art Challenge: Draw Kirby! 🌟

March Break is just around the corner, and we’re kicking things off with one of the most iconic characters of all time—Kirby! If your kids are looking for something fun to do this march break, grab some paper and some pink markers. Kirby is the perfect character for young artists because he’s built from simple shapes, but looks amazing when he’s finished!

I’ve just posted a full, easy-to-follow step-by-step tutorial on our YouTube channel. We’ll break down the circle, the Star Rod, and those classic red feet so your artist feels like a pro.

Who says fish can't be rainbows? 🌈🐟

August absolutely nailed this character during her private class.

One of the best parts of teaching cartooning is seeing how every student brings their own 'flavor' to a drawing. August didn't just draw a bear; she gave him a rainbow hat, a matching vest, and even a rainbow fish!

This kind of creativity is exactly what we cultivate at Fun Toon Creations. We give them the tools, and they bring the imagination.

Bring your characters to life 🦦✨

The secret to bringing your drawings to life isn't just about detail—it’s about flow and contrast. Swipe through to see how I broke down this little otter!

The Breakdown: 1️⃣ Line of Action: Always start with a curved "S" or "C" shape to give your character movement. 2️⃣ The Tilt: An upward head tilt immediately adds personality and curiosity. 3️⃣ Line Weight: This is the "Pro" secret. Use bold lines for the outer body and thin lines for the facial features.
