Here's what the song is about:
All people are God’s people
God’s Spirit is poured out on ALL people
All means all
Like the fire in the burning bush on holy ground
Because the sacred fire also creates.
Pentecost’s fire is the fire of creation, renewed and new.
The flame never went out. It has always been burning, turning hatred and injustice to ash. But on that Pentecost, the holy wind exploded like a wildfire on the crowd, across the world, and through the cosmos.
As Paul echoed in his letter to the Corinthians - “For you are all children of God in the Spirit! There is no Jew or Greek; there is no slave or free; there is no male and female. For you are all one in the Spirit!”
