Whether you’re already part of the SIU family or you’ve been wondering if we might be the right fit for your child, our Open House is the perfect time to stop in!

Does your 2–4 year old love to sing, clap, move, and make music? We’re adding a brand-new class designed especially for them!

Tunes for Tykes introduces early music skills through:
💜 Singing
💜 Clapping rhythms
💜 Movement
💜 Gestures while singing

Thursdays | 6:00–6:30 PM
Ages 2–4 | Starts October 1

More interested in DANCE? We have options for our youngest students there, too, including Boogie Babies, Tumble Tots, and Broadway Babies.

Whether your little one wants to sing, dance, tumble, or try a little of everything, there’s a place for them at SIU.

Our Adult Dance Workshop Series is back with a class that’s all about having fun, learning some new moves, and getting out on the dance floor. No dance experience required!

🎵 Meet Teagan Smith, the newest addition to our SIU Music Department!

Teagan is now accepting students for piano and guitar lessons!

Teagan began studying piano and guitar at age 8 and currently studies piano and voice privately at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. She also sings, writes music, and performs in SIU recitals and local showcases.

And because remember SIU- is about so much more than dance, we’re thrilled to continue growing opportunities for kids to find their creative thing.

Things they don’t tell you about owning a dance studio: apparently you also need a minor in professional floor buffing. 😂

Did the machine initially win? Yes.
Were there a few accidental donuts around the studio? Also yes.
Did someone spend the next day and a half scrubbing, mopping, drying AND buffing these floors until they were ready for our dancers? You bet.

We’ll let you guess who operated the machine, but here’s your hint: she may have Popeye arms by the time classes start. 💪

The behind-the-scenes season prep is officially ON because classes begin September 14! We cannot wait to fill these shiny floors with our SIU kids again.

Cori recorded a very professional video explaining our tuition and how we try to make classes work for real family budgets.

Unfortunately, she handed the footage to the social media manager. 😂

Memes aside, this part actually matters: we want the arts to be accessible to families. That means transparent pricing, no surprise hidden fees popping up throughout the year, and equal payments that make it easier to plan your budget.

Whether your child wants to take one class a week or basically move into the studio, we’re happy to help you figure out what works for your family.

Kinda chic that we believe an arts education should actually be accessible. 💜

At SIU, we’ve built a program with the things families care about: experienced teachers, safe facilities, tons of class options, opportunities for serious dancers AND kids who just want to find something they love.

But one of the things we’re proudest of? Our pricing.

We work hard to keep our tuition among the most competitive in the area, with equal payments throughout the season and no surprise hidden fees (including costumes and recital fees) suddenly showing up on your bill.

Because your child shouldn’t have to miss out on dance, theater, music, art, or a place where they belong because an arts education feels financially out of reach.
