We are one step closer to introducing the Omaha Payphone Project to the world!

When the physical payphone is installed and available to the public, there will also be a digital, app-style payphone accessible via the project website. Anyone, anywhere will be able to access the collection of tracks from our talented artists.

Stay tuned for further updates!

Head Artist of the Omaha Payphone Project, Tessa V. Wedberg, has produced and directed music videos with amazing collaborators and friends over the years.

She plans to direct a music video or moving poem for an artist or two involved in the Payphone Project.

Until then, here's a look at a previous piece.

"My Apology" was created with friends/artists Tessa admires greatly including the following:

When we first announced the Payphone Project, Stolen Wolves aka Tim Perkins was one of the first who offered to share their art with us. Tim passed away in December, and we know the Omaha community will never be the same.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13 at 40th Street Theatre at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made out to Omaha Girls Rock/The Bay: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/thebayogr

Project update!

Our payphone has been undergoing a massive makeover. From disassembly to redesign to sanding, we are preparing the phone to house music and poetry from over 40 local artists.

Any design suggestions? Paint colors, a bedazzled receiver, or neon lettering?

We've been so impressed with the submissions so far and are still looking for Omaha-based (or formerly based) artists to contribute to our public art installation.

Be sure to input everything in your submission you want included in the informational phonebook accompanying the project (e.g. social media handles, artist websites, etc.)

Audio tracks can be songs, poems, or spoken word recordings.

Submissions close Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. CDT. Access the form at the link in bio!
