The OEAAs happened on Sunday and Patty Talbert and Anthony Peña won best public art for the A+I Peace mural. Congratulations to and ! Thank you to the Marshal Faith Foundation for the generous funding and to Automatic Printing for the canvas and additional funding. Due to their location on Cuming St, we approached Automatic Printjng and asked them about having a vibrant mural on their building and they immediately said YES. We knew Patty and Anthony had been talking about collaborating so we asked them about combining two of their fantastic artworks and showed them some mock-ups. They said YES! Automatic Printing got together with their neighbors to choose their favorite design and within a few months Cuming street had so much more color and a message for all its travelers.

"Artist Sarah Rowe describes giant Omaha mural as 'joyful celebration of the Nebraska sky"

KMTV did a story on Rowe's Starseeds Silo Mural, they got some great shots. Here are a few screenshots from their story. We are honored to be a part of this project! Thank you Ardent Mills and Faith Foundation for making this project a reality for Omaha.

B I G News! Our 45th mural is massive!
The Starseeds mural project is led by Art + Infrastructure and facilitated by Omaha by Design (Omaha by Design), in partnership with Ardent Mills (Ardent Mills), and the Faith Foundation.

Starseeds spans 15 silos, ranging from 100 to 125 feet tall, and covers approximately 23,400 square feet on the east facade. A crew of professional muralists led by Richard Harrison from A Midsummer’s Mural (A Midsummer's Mural) is painting alongside lead artist, Sarah Rowe (Sarah Rowe)

Rowe is an interdisciplinary artist of Lakota and Ponca descent based in Omaha. Her design honors the mission and community-centered work of Ardent Mills while also referencing local Indigenous storytelling. In Starseeds, there are songbirds in a wide Nebraska sky, flying over growing grain and horses, flanked by sunlight and a thunderstorm. Starseeds is the 3rd in a series of murals for Ardent Mills, who have silo murals in Denver and Mankato, MN. Painting began at the end of July and is expected to be complete in early Fall.

Stay tuned for lots of photos as the mural is painted.

Location is 2900 C St, Omaha, NE 68107.

We are proud to present Paul High Horse's new mural design for the final ORBT stop on the Dodge/Douglas Metro route.

“Oyate ki Kawita” (The People Come Together) will be painted Fall 2022 at the Metro's ORBT station at 8th and Farnam. The mural's title is meaningful for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the location of the mural is in a space that brings people together. The redevelopment of the Gene Leahy Mall will continue to be a gathering space, for people of all ages, for generations to come. Secondly, the Omaha Rapid Bus Transit service provides Omaha residents an affordable opportunity to come together and take advantage of the beautifully redeveloped space.
