This is a book about death. This is not a book about death.
It starts in March 2020, texting your ex while the world shuts down from the global pandemic. Rekindling your love while the virus rages on and the country breaks out into protests, the question that floats to the surface is, “how do we endanger the ones that we love…and what does it mean to love each other anyway?”
Death Anxiety: A Book of Attempts is a fragmentary memoir in the style of writers like Maggie Nelson, Leslie Jamison, and Eula Biss. The book interrogates questions of mortality, complicity, and intimacy through the lenses of illness, su***de, race, and inter generational trauma.
This book will be launched on Kickstarter, estimated Summer 2027
