Tim Sherlock has been involved with OCT since the 90s and is currently a board member. When asked about his choice for his directorial debut, he said:

"My inspiration for Heroes vs Villains was wanting to have an interactive cabaret that showed both sides and questioned - do we really know what makes a character a hero or a villain?"

🦹‍♂️ "A villain and hero are just words, a title for the same thing, people. What would you do, how far would you go to achieve what must be done? A matter of perspective and circumstance is all that separates the wicked from the good. You probably think that you’re the hero but that’s just because the story is told from your perspective. You could be a hero down on their luck or a villain in the making to someone else, after all we’re all a little bad - why not embrace it?"

Edward Hennessey is another amazingly talented Villain who will be performing this weekend! Read his perspective on heroes and villains:

🦹‍♂️ "Heroes and villains are two sides of the same coin. These are individuals who have power, influence, and the means to utilize such resources for their own agenda. Do their actions affect only the individual, or do their actions and agenda effect others? What determines whether someone is a villain or a hero? The perspective of the people, the innocent, the ones without power, influence, or means to act for the greater good. A true hero will do whatever they can to help and advocate for others even if those others stand against them. A villain will do whatever they can to help themselves and those who help advance their agenda, regardless of who is hurt along the way."
