This sucks, and i hate to see it. But as someone who runs shows, I entirely get it.
What many don't see is all the countless hours that go into getting a show together BEHIND the scenes. (usually hundreds of hours a week if you're having to wear 10 hats; as most of us do).
The behind the scenes costs are insane; and that's still keeping the tickets reasonably affordable -- and usually still taking a loss on many shows you throw.
I don't like the trends I am seeing in the nightlife scene.
Everyone hates Ticketmaster; yet all the small shows that do AS MUCH AS THEY CAN to get their event out there (but off of TM) aren't getting the support they NEED to just scrape by (and still take a loss).
Please support your local scene. It matters more than you know.

It’s with great sadness cybercentia has been canceled. With the event being two weeks out, and thousands of dollars poured in to both the headliners deposit as well as graphics and advertisement costs, I just don’t see this as being a feasible event to me. My goal here was never to make a profit. But my goal also is not to spend 5k of my own money for a show that will only bring out 10-20 people. If you don’t want to see things like this happen in the future, support events. Buy tickets early. Make event promoters see it as a worthwhile investment rather than a detrimental loss. Tickets will be refunded via ticketing site. Contact for more details.
