THIS FRIDAY is our Spring ScArt Night DaVinci Academy of Science & the Arts Elementary (215 E. 22nd Ogden). This is a big one, with art displayed from students in 1st through 6th-grades, a community pendulum paint art project and TONS of cool, free activities from our amazing community partners. Pizza and drinks will be available for sale (cash only) from our student council. We hope to see you there!

Today we had the honor of welcoming Wildland Firefighter (official title Forest Technician) Cortney Davis as our first Community Hero guest speaker. We asked Mr. Davis to come in as part of our Problem Solver program, where classes and groups of students identify problems in their community, research what’s being done and work to be part of innovative solutions.

During classroom conversations students identified wildfires as a major concern in our community and world. His talk helped students better understand what a wildland firefighter does and how they help our community. It was a fantastic kickoff to Problem Solvers Season!
