🔔‼️ Volunteers Needed ‼️🔔

Give your well-loved outdoor gear a second chance! The Eco Location is bringing Mend the Wild: Outdoor Gear Repair Clinic to The Monarch on Saturday, October 17th from 12:00–5:00 PM. This community-focused event will offer free basic repairs and maintenance for outdoor gear including jackets and coats, backpacks, tents and sleeping bags, snowboards, skis, bikes, and more. Attendees can connect with local repair experts, learn useful skills to keep their gear in use longer, and help promote repair, reuse, and sustainability. Registration time slots for bringing in items will open closer to the event date.

Want to get involved? The Eco Location is currently looking for skilled volunteers, organizations, repair experts, and community partners to help make the event possible! If you have repair or maintenance skills and would like to lend a hand, or represent an organization interested in collaborating, reach out to [email protected].

Join A Space For Everyone on September 9th for the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours! They’re opening up their doors to host this month’s event, and we’d love to see our fellow Weber County small business owners and local professionals there. It’s going to be a great, opportunity to meet like minded individuals from a wide variety of businesses and make some good connections.
While you’re there, you can take a quick tour of the building and grab some amazing desserts from Stella’s.

Looking for another way to experience The Monarch? Mark your calendar for Ogden Arts After Dark, returning to Dumke Arts Plaza (455 25th Street) from 5 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, August 9th and Sunday, September 13th. This free community event features an open gallery, local art and food vendors, an open mic, and a welcoming evening celebrating Ogden’s vibrant arts community.

Please note that event organizers have shared that recent posts claiming Ogden Arts After Dark has been canceled are incorrect. The event is moving forward as scheduled, and they’re excited to welcome the community for another evening of art, creativity, and connection. Creativity is on the menu at Wide Awake Studio’s walk-in Art Bar, located in Studio 33 at The Monarch. Open Wednesdays from 4–10 PM (all ages from 4–8 PM, 21+ from 8–10 PM), guests can drop in to explore hands-on creative projects while enjoying a complimentary beverage.

“Just one year ago, the historic Union Stockyard Exchange Building was named to Preservation Utah’s Most Endangered Buildings List. With the release of the 2026 list last week, the building now carries a new designation— SAVED!
This project proves we don’t have to choose between honoring our history and pursuing innovation. It takes partners who believe historic buildings deserve a future and we found that in Fischer Regan Enterprises, LLC. I’m excited to see the Union Stock Exchange Building become a center of industry once again, just as I’m excited about the future of Ogden Union Station. When we preserve places that tell Ogden’s story and give them new purpose, we’re building a city that future generations will be proud to inherit.

The work has already begun—starting with removing and properly storing the Exchange building’s intricate animal-head brickwork for safekeeping until it’s ready to be places again.
Inside, the building has been cleaned out and architectural design work is underway as plans continue to move forward.

Designed by Leslie Hodgson, the Union Stock Exchange Building stands alongside Ogden High School, the Forest Service Building, and the Municipal Building as one of the city’s architectural treasures. We’re excited to see this landmark continue its journey from endangered to restored.”
