Miss her already!!! Kadey and liberty has made my first few performances so memorable and I can’t wait to share the arena with them again!
Over the weekend I performed in Paola, Kansas at the Miami County Fair . I performed alongside Liberty and Shay again! This was a very bittersweet performance as it was my last performance in my North America tour.
This day was extremely hot and HUMID!! The heat index reached 117 degrees! We all had sweat dripping down our faces which made it impossible to do makeup, so we had to get ready at home before coming to the grounds. In the arena, we had sweat dripping into our eyes and burning them, I actually couldn’t see at times!
Not to mention, after raining the day prior, the arena was the muddiest conditions we’ve performed in. It wasn’t slick, but very sticky mud and made it hard for the horses to run smoothly. Despite all this, the horses did their job, took care of us, and ensured we got around the pattern safely!
My favourite part of this rodeo, was actually not trick riding, but having the opportunity to carry Old Glory during the National Anthem🇺🇸 I felt so honoured to hold that flag in the arena. What made this even more special, is Liberty’s brother, Lane, actually sung the National Anthem! Liberty then did a lap holding her pyro flag, and I followed. It was so beautiful to have the three of us involved in the National Anthem all at the same time!! This was a moment I definitely won’t forget 🙏
