Free Little Art Gallery! Fully Funded by “Grants for Great Ideas” from The Public Education Foundation of Marion County and created by West Port High School MCCA Arts. Inspired by my dear friend Lori Conrad who sent a picture to me of one of these from another state. This idea was begun in September and is coming to life!
Welcome to Ocala’s smallest and free-est art gallery. Works just like a Free Little Library where you take and leave books. Free Little Art Gallery you take an artwork, leave an art work or both. If you need an art supply, feel free to take one. If you have new supplies to donate reach out to us or place inside. It’s going to take our whole community to make it work! The Free Little Art Gallery movement is worldwide and our students can ship their art off to other countries and vice versa.
This project was way bigger than I imagined and took longer than expected but we have created something our kiddos are proud to present. They look forward to years of engagement and interaction with the community!
***Now here’s the problem. We need a place to plant it. It is an outdoor gallery. Our goal is to keep making them to place all across Ocala.
