Education in the Arts program offers invaluable opportunities to transform and empower individuals, contribute to, shapes society, and build essential life skills in creativity, self-discipline, and communication. Individuals in the arts program tend to have more compassion and empathy towards life. The art programs at 2nd Stage are adaptable to everyone's learning and developmental skills. Since
2005, 2nd Stage has grown to include a wide range of musical theater acting classes and camps that have engaged students Pre-K thru 12th grade from all economic, racial and social backgrounds. Students at 2nd Stage learn to explore theater in many different avenues including; foundations of musical theater through acting, singing and playwriting, artistic integration, creative development through the history of theater, and critical thinking skills. Studens also have the opportunity to gain the conceptual view of set building, costume design, make up design, and publicity.
2nd Stage runs weekly acting classes as well as summer theater intensive programs that give students opportunities to learn all aspects of theater. 2nd Stage also gives individuals the valuable opportunity to learn and explore the arts using shows and age appropriate selections from Broadway/Off-Broadway productions. Directors and teachers at 2nd Stage are highly trained in theater and work to bring out more than expected from each and every students. All employees and Directors hold a level II Security Clearance, as well as are CPR/first aid.

Hello everyone,
We have received a very underwhelming response to the upcoming class. We are aware this could be due to the different orientations for school and start of school this coming week. We completely understand. With that said, we felt it necessary to move the auditions to September 4th and 11th so that everyone can get settled in school, homeschool routines etc.,. We are now located in Ocala FL.
Please note, we do not serve the Tampa area for talent unless you would like to see one of our shows.
We are heading into our next season with a grand reopening as we have found a temporary home and will begin production rehearsals very soon.
Out website is down for revamping.
I am sure some will have questions but we are revamping and adopting several of the key components of our beloved previous theatre.
We are excited about the new adventures and will update soon.
We understand if some decide to unfollow us due to the distance, and we are looking forward to new friends joining us.

Hello everyone,
We wanted to just post really quickly saying that we have revamped a bit of our company. As the Pandemic Hit and we transitioned to a new business venture, we are forever grateful for everyone who poured into our lives in the Tampa Bay Area. We are forever grateful for your love for us.
We were hit with some very tough moments since the summer of 2020 but we are on the other side of restoration now and are excited to be revamping and renewing our children's theater! Yes, we are in a new area and no longer in the Tampa Bay Area.
We miss all of you very much and we hope that you are all well. Our family is doing well and we cannot thank you all for your efforts all those years to support us and bring us so much joy in the world of children's theatre.
Your life can change in a moment, but we believe with all of our hearts that what people and the enemy meant for harm, God really and truly turns around for HIS good and purpose!
We wanted to let you all know that our journey in the world of Children's Theater is not over. It is over for the dinner theater and for the professional theatre for now, but our focus will remain on theatre education and enrichment in the lives of so many amazing children across the state of Florida.
Please stay tuned for our new business revamp and grand opening of a combination of 2nd Stage Studio Theater and NY Stage Production of 2nd Stage Productions. We couldn't be more excited and we can't thank those who supported us, handed us incredible opportunities, and provided for us the amazing talent we have seen over the years enough! We are forever Indebted to you! You know who you are!

13 weeks. That’s how far along I was when I found out I was having twins.
14 weeks is when I was guaranteed I wouldn’t be having twins. “Baby B is not going to make it and your putting Baby A in serious jeopardy the longer you wait to terminate.” They must have thought I was crazy. I didn’t cry. I didn’t even hardly react other than to very adamantly stick with my gut. Appointment after appointment...doctor after doctor....boy did they put the pressure on. Almost as if they would receive some sort of commission. None of that mattered. I was pregnant with 2 LIVING babies. I sure as hell wasnt going to just cut the chord bc it sounded like a good idea.
Now don’t get me wrong. It was pure torture. I was basically waiting for my baby to die. No one knew. People just knew that I was pregnant with twins but talking about it was hell. When someone would bring up what my future was going to look like, it was all I could do to not crumble bc what they didn’t know was that one and maybe even both of my babies were going to die. After all, the drs assured me this. More than once.
But then. Day by day...week by week we made it to THIRTY FOUR weeks. And the scariest day of my life arrived.
I delivered two of the most beautiful, perfect babies I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Baby A tipping the scales at 4lbs 15oz and Baby B - the baby who “will never ever make it”...the baby in utero with 0% chance of survival - defeated all odds and proved a strength I wouldn’t believe if I didn’t see with my own eyes, blessed this world at 2lbs 9oz and not only never needed a ventilator, but ONLY needed oxygen and a feeding tube.
Baby A spent 16 days in the NICU and Baby B spent 29.
And here we are. Almost 2.5 years later.
To think of how different my life could have been had I listened to any single one of those doctors.
To think the day I delivered them I could have STILL made a different choice?! I can’t understand. And I don’t want to.
