Project Scope: Paint a 12.3’ X 7.5’ custom mural of a “living” Aspen Grove using glaze for a dimensional and atmospheric background.
My client had already picked and painted this room in Benjamin Moore’s Fieldstone, so I picked a darker and lighter shade and added Glaze to start the atmospheric background.
I decided to use tape to block where the trees would go to make sure I painted a solid ground that the viewer could imagine walking into.
I am including the one selfie 🤳 I took throughout the painting of this mural because I really enjoyed the taping process.

I’d love to paint more forest murals. I feel like this mural has healing energy. It’s calm, expansive, and magical.
