🌼 A little piece of Wisconsin, painted in the sunshine! 🌼

I painted this one en plein air while visiting family in Wisconsin about a month ago. And yes, en plein air is just a fancy art term for painting outside while looking at the actual subject. 😊

There’s something pretty special about sitting right in front of the flowers and painting what you see right there in the moment.

For the finished piece, I chose custom green double matting and a beautiful natural wood frame with a lightly weathered, rustic finish. I think the combination gives it a warm, timeless look that fits the character of the painting perfectly.

It’s finished, framed, and ready to hang!

I got to deliver one of my limited-edition, signed Rainbow Trout reprints to a wonderful customer who purchased it as a surprise gift for her husband. Since it’s a surprise, I can’t share a photo of the happy owner just yet - but I can’t wait until he gets to see it! 🎁

It’s actually easier than you might think! I wanted to share a little helpful information for those who may be new to Timothy S. Fine Art - or maybe you’ve seen a painting you love but weren’t quite sure how to order one.

Timothy is actively taking orders for his high-quality, signed fine art reprints, and almost any of his artwork can be made into a beautiful, signed reprint ready to display.

When you find the one that makes you think, “I have to have that one,” just send us a private message right here through the page.

From there, we can answer your questions and help you order a high-quality, signed reprint of the artwork you love. Timothy can have the piece professionally matted and framed so it arrives ready to display, and for our local customers, we’re happy to hand-deliver it right to you.

After my first art delivery today, I got to meet Liz and deliver “Sir Dorian,” the toad painting I shared last night!

She saw him and had to have him! It’s honestly one of the best parts of being an artist... seeing people connect with my work and find a place for it in their home.

We had fun talking about where Sir Dorian might live, and I also learned that Liz has dabbled in watercolor herself. Even more fun, I found out she’s the mom of one of my friends from school!

It was such a fun visit, and I’m really thankful that Sir Dorian found such a great new home. 🐸🎨

Today was a busy one! After school and piano lessons, I got to make another special art delivery.

P.j. and her husband have been collecting dragonflies for 24 years, so when they saw my signed dragonfly reprint, they knew they had to have it. Their anniversary is coming up in the next few weeks, and this piece is their anniversary gift to each other.

It means a lot to me to know that my artwork is becoming part of something so special to them. I’m happy to add a little something to 24 years of collecting dragonflies!

Today was a pretty cool day!

I got the opportunity to help set up an upcoming art exhibition at the ASUMH Art Gallery in Mountain Home, featuring artists Tim Breaux and Gil Adams.

I’ve always loved seeing the finished product at an art show, but today I got to see what happens BEFORE everyone walks through the doors. I helped with the setup and got a firsthand look at the behind-the-scenes work that goes into curating an exhibition — how artwork is arranged, how the space is planned, and how all the pieces come together to create the finished show.

I learned a TON today, and it was really exciting to be able to be there and be part of it. Experiences like this are something I’m really grateful for because I’m not just getting to make art - I’m getting to learn more about the art world and what happens behind the scenes, too.

A big thank you to Tim, who gave me the opportunity to be involved today. I’m looking forward to seeing Tim and Gil's finished exhibition!

Thier show will be on view September 1–30 at the ASUMH Art Gallery in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with a reception on September 10 from 4–6 p.m.

🎨 Work in Progress: Brown Trout!
After many requests, I finally started one! A Brown Trout watercolor is officially underway. I've been working most of the day on him.

It’s definitely not finished yet, but I have to say… this one is turning out great! I’m really enjoying all the little details coming together... the colors, spots, and character of this beautiful fish.

I’ll be sharing more as it develops, so stay tuned!

This one is a little different from what I usually do, but I think that’s what makes it fun!

“Sir Dorian” is a high-quality signed reprint of my original toad watercolor, custom double matted with complementary matts and paired with this unique, ornate frame. The classic frame gives this little toad quite a bit of personality!
