What a week! Cooper and Martha finished 8th in the world in the breakaway roping at the National Junior High Rodeo Finals! What a team they are. The cool part, Jacob and Cooper trained this mare in this event…that is something to be proud of! Coop knows where he needs to improve to make it to #1 and I believe he could be #1!

Coop placed #8 in the ribbon roping on go around #1 with his partner Hayden! They were a great team.

He placed #6 in the short go in breakaway roping.

He place #17 in go around #2 with his partner Bode in team roping.

Cooper went out with confidence and caught all 7 animals he roped at this week. We are so proud of this cowboy!

What an experience and I know the best is yet to come for this young rodeo athelete.

Thank you, Lord for the opportunity and for allowing us the opportunity to own such a wonderful horse!

Buy your kid the horse, enter them in the rodeos, spend time, and praise Jesus.

Attention Rodeo Families! 📢 The Iowa Junior High/High School Rodeo Association membership for the 2026-2027 season opens on July 1st!

Below are the confirmed fall dates and these steps to get your athlete registered.

🗓️ Confirmed Fall Dates
* August 1st-2nd - Afton, Iowa Junior High Only
* August 29th- 30th – Moville, Iowa
* September 5th-6th - Larchwood, Iowa
* September 12th-13th - Adel, Iowa
* September 26th-27th - Fort Madison, Iowa
* October 3rd-4th - Denison, Iowa

Step 1: National Registration
* Visit the National High School Rodeo Association website: https://nhsra.com/
* Log into or create your child’s profile.
* Pay the national fee and insurance fee.
* Download and have your school complete the required "Good Standing" form.

Step 2: State Registration
* State fees will be paid on the national site with national fees!

New to rodeo or have questions?
If you are interested in joining, please reach out to anyone on the Riverside Rodeo Team! We are happy to help you navigate the process and answer any questions to get you ready for the arena!

Iowa High School Rodeo Association is such a great experience for the kids to gain new friendships, leadership skills, and networking.

Also if your school doesn’t support rodeo as a school sanction sport, come to Riverside! If you have a rodeo kid and a sports kid, our sports teams are pretty amazing as well! State champs in multiple sports!! Our community has been amazing supporting all athletes!

Cooper and Martha in the 2nd go around this morning in the breakaway roping. They made the top 20 for the short go tonight! We are so proud of this team! Martha has giving her whole heart to Coop all week in the three events he competed on her in! She is one heck of an all around horse!

Cooper and Hayden drew a tough calf in the Ribbon Roping. But what a catch Coop made and a heck of a hustle from Hayden! The placed #8 on the 1st go round and that is something to be proud of! This wraps up their ribbon roping career together as Hayden heads to her freshman year. You’ll see Coop back in the fall with his new partner!
