Lo-Fi Oyster Co. & Saint Joseph’s Arts Society present ‘Normal Dreams’ featuring Liana Zhen-Ai and Astrid Sonne on November 3rd in San Francisco.

Normal Dreams is a new performance by dancer Liana Zhen-Ai and musician Astrid Sonne. First presented as a part of the Pairings series at La Mama Experimental Theatre Club in New York, curated and produced by Cameron Sczempka, now brought to London via Club Cheek and Qu Junktions. Expect never heard before songs, movement, noise, props and a video call from the big apple.

Join us for Normal Dreams, an evening at the intersection of dance, light, electronic music & oyster service.

Lo-Fi Oyster Co. and Local Economy present Tide Tables—Ambient Music and Bay Science featuring LA-based artist dream crease ☆ marina and San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI) on Friday, September 25th!

Our “Tide Tables” series combines ambient music with conversations about the Bay water, climate, and food systems.

For this edition, we’ll be joined by Dream Crease, the solo project of Marina Aguerre, a Los Angeles producer and multi-instrumentalist known for her work with Teal Pop, Spaceface, and Dumbo Gets Mad. Drawing from otherworldly visions, recurring dream landscapes, and the natural world at her fingertips, Aguerre brings us a new realm of fantasy ambient on her second full length album ‘Blue Hour in the Living Room’.

On the sciences side we are excited to host Landscape architect Karen Verpeet, managing director of the Resilient Landscapes Program at the San Francisco Estuary Institute. SFEI is a wildly interdisciplinary Bay Area institution that’s dedicated to advancing “visionary science that empowers people to revitalize nature.”

There’ll be some light snacks and w**e (no oysters, tho)!

Strings, synthesis, and oysters service at Saint Joseph’s Art Society—set to the immersive soundscapes of Floré Laurentienne performing compositions from their acclaimed record, Vol. III.

Described by the lo-fi crew as “music that sounds like a rare, warm winter’s days”—their performance was a milestone in expanding the intersection of music & the oyster for the Bay Area and beyond.

Huge thanks to Saint Joseph’s Art Society for their openness to new concepts and partnerships in a top-tier arts community like SF. And to all the patrons and attendees who showed up: you made this a true milestone for Lo-Fi Oyster Co!!!
