I am from Roxbury MA. and live in Oakland, CA. I
Painting is my meditation. Thank you.

My subjects include, ancestors, moods and revelations. I hope you enjoy the pieces. I’m from Roxbury, Boston, now living in Oakland. It took years to find my artistic voice and even longer to share it. My work reflects ancestors, nature, and emotions. Painting is my meditation, a way to tell stories and connect with the universe. I rarely sketch, letting images flow naturally with ink, acrylic, an

d oil sticks. Candy wrappers or magazine clippings add depth. My paintings depict dreams, memories, and visions, often created to music. Art is my conversation with the universe—thank you for allowing me to share it. To learn more about me and my work, please visit my website at

On Him Mind

Two distinct faces emerge, one in bold shades of pink and the other in muted greys, embodying a silent dialogue between contrasting emotions. Jagged outlines emphasize their features, while a turquoise background heightens the interaction. The interplay of colors and forms conveys a sense of tension and connection, inviting the viewer to explore the nuances of identity. This intriguing piece would enhance any space with its thought-provoking presence.

Interior designers often talk about sightlines. They're the natural path your eye travels when you enter or move through a room.

Most people never think about this consciously, but they feel it. Art placed directly in a sightline changes a room immediately.

Placement is as intentional as the work itself.

Where would you put LaVette?

A lot of people hold off on collecting art because they rent and feel uncertain about committing to walls they do not own. But art does not belong to a wall. It belongs to you.

Renting is not a reason to live with bare walls. It is a reason to collect work that matters enough to keep moving (and growing) with you.

"On Him Mind" and my other work are connected to the people who love them, not just the places they're displayed.
