ABOUT YAPPY DAP
Yappy Dap has been open for a year now although it hasn't been publicly announced until today: January 31st of 2014
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT NAME? A couple years ago my friends threw me a birthday party, and they got me one of those "Happy Birthday" signs. After I did a fine job acoustically treating and decorating the space all I needed was a name, and as I am a fan of recycling and working with what you got, I decided to unscramble the letters of the "Happy Birthday" sign to give my studio i'ts name. Since Yappy Dap has 3 "P's" and Happy Birthday only has 2 "P's" I used a leftover "R" and cut it's little leg off. There you go. It's grown on me. WHO CAN MIX AT YAPPY DAP? Basically anyone as long as you're prepared to do so! All I need is your music files. I will mix your song(s) to my best abilities wether you recorded in a fancy studio, or at your little home studio. Contact me for details. HOW MUCH?
$30 an hour for sessions lasting 4 hours or less
$25 dollars for sessions lasting 5 hours or more (10-hour maximum days)
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? It's a broad answer. I've gotten fast over the years, but it really depends. I've mixed an entire record in 6 hours before, but I've also spent 2 days mixing one song. It depends on the production of your song. How many tracks? Do you have some EPIC Ideas? Do you need my help translating all your abstract thoughts? Do you want to be the next David Bowie, or Kanye West and need my help? I'll see what I can do.....
