REMEMBERING Dr. Huey P. Newton (February 17, 1942 – August 22, 1989)

Dr. Heuy P. Newton was an African American revolutionary and political activist who founded the Black Panther Party for Self Defence . He ran the party as its first leader and crafted its ten-point program for the community with Bobby Seale in 1966 in Oakland, Ca.

Just got my hands on a physical copy of the latest edition of La Raiz Magazine '24 featuring one of my featured pieces "Dominga Velasco (Oakland Allstars series). I will be exhibiting a show in July at Studios Eleven as a tribute and collaboration with La Raiz magazine featuring a few other featured artists and poets. Will keep you posted.
