Did you know? The Northside Farmers Market has been feeding Northside for almost 25 years now! This market takes place every Wednesday, no matter the season. Everything for sale at the market is grown or produced within 70 miles of Northside!

The Factory Events is a historic venue with a bright, open interior and a beautifully curated private courtyard that provides the perfect backdrop to all of life’s celebrations. It is Northside’s first full-service event space offering both indoor and outdoor space, beverage service, valet, and a catering area.

This historic building at 1546 Knowlton St. was built in 1902 for the Parks Machine Tool Co. and was continuously used as a production facility until the 1990s, when it was converted into artist studios and meeting space.

DSGN CLLCTV, in partnership with the Northside Business Association, recently created a mural on the side of Hoffner Lodge to celebrate the annual Northside Rock 'N Roll Carnival and the creative, independent spirit that makes Northside such a unique neighborhood. It looks amazing!

The mural takes a playful approach to the history and energy of the carnival: every character in the mural is a dog.

The scene features canine musicians, performers, festival-goers, and other familiar carnival characters, combining Northside’s love of music with its reputation as one of Cincinnati’s most dog-friendly neighborhoods.

The intricate details invite close inspection. Throughout the composition, you can find some Northside-specific Easter eggs and references to the carnival, the neighborhood, and its history. Take a closer look here: welcometonorthside.com/new-mural-in-northside

Historic Hoffner Lodge at 4122 Hamilton Ave. is home to The Hoffner Pub, La Bamba Cincy, Tango Northside, and Joyride Comedy.

You know that saying, “it takes a village,” right? It took a village to beautify this little pocket of our business district, and we’re so grateful!

These concrete planters had been planted by Alex and Bryan Lierer, owners of Lierer's Market. The planters mark the edge of the Lingo parking lot and Pope Alley, immediately behind The Bagel Group.

When neighbors noticed that the planters needed a refresh, they reached out to the Northside Business Association about replanting a mix of pollinator-friendly native perennials and painting the planters in bright colors.

We thank our community volunteers, Mary Kroner and Adam Moeller, who took the lead on this beautification initiative, along with their helpers, Jo Olding and Ben Stockwell. We’re also grateful to Kevin Bomkamp, owner of Northside Hardware, for advising on the paint and supplies needed for this project, which were purchased by the NBA.

This is one of 5 paid parking lots in the Northside business district, which are owned by the NBA for the benefit of the community and its visitors. All revenue generated from these lots goes back to the Northside Business Association, helping to fund neighborhood projects like the Northside Rock N Roll Carnival, WelcomeToNorthside.com, the Hamilton Avenue flower pots, community-based events, and more.

Adam Moeller is the Project Coordinator of CommonWild, a Northside-based urban biodiversity project that aims to create and disseminate replicable models of community-led and community-sustaining rewilding efforts in our urban areas. The group operates a distributed, free, native plant nursery specifically for rewilding Northside. More info: www.commonwildcincy.org

If you’re interested in learning more about the work of CommonWild, the group’s next event is its Fall Potluck at The Village Green Foundation (1413 Knowlton St.) at 5:30pm on Wed 14 Oct. Bring food or drink to share!

The 2026 Northside House Tour returns this Sunday! Tickets are $15/advance and $20/door, and can be purchased online at www.northsidehousetour.com or in person at CAINCincy, Happen, Inc., Lierer's Market, Northside Farmers Market, North Side Bank & Trust, Ruth's Parkside Cafe, and Shake It Records.

Since its start in 1990, the Northside House Tour has delighted thousands of Cincinnati-area residents with tours of private homes in our vibrant and thriving community.

Every other year up to a dozen homes, chosen for architectural integrity, unique design and personal flair, have their doors thrown open in this nonprofit, volunteer-run event held with support from the Northside Community Council.

From elegant American Foursquares to mid-century moderns to cutting-edge LEED-certified homes, the Northside House Tour typifies the diversity and unique beauty of the neighborhood that’s been dubbed “a casually hip destination” by The New York Times, and “the It Girl of Cincinnati neighborhoods” by Cincinnati Magazine.

While our increasingly desirable neighborhood has made headlines for rising home values and destination venues for dining, drinking and music, the Northside House Tour underscores that the community spirit and DIY ethos remain intact.

This popular pizzeria has been serving Cincinnati since 1987 and has four locations, including Cheviot, Colerain and Delhi. We’re obviously partial to the N.Y.P.D. Pizza Inc. (Northside) storefront!

This customer review sums it up perfectly: “Food is 10/10 every time. Delivery drivers are always polite. Not just the best pizza in Cincinnati, but some of the best appetizers and wings you will find too!”

N.Y.P.D. Pizza recently phased out styrofoam takeout packaging in favor of cardboard, and switched from printed wax paper to recyclable aluminum foil sheets as part of its ongoing commitment to more sustainable packaging. We appreciate this!

Located at 4040 Hamilton Ave., Lonesome Town Tattoo looks great after its REFRESH façade improvement, courtesy of NEST - Northsiders Engaged in Sustainable Transformation!

Thanks to the support of the City Of Cincinnati Government, Cincinnati Neighborhood Business Districts United (CNBDU), Carol Ann & Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation, and 5/3 Bank, NEST has been improving the exteriors of select businesses in Northside, including Lonesome Town.

NEST’s REFRESH program provided funds and technical support, courtesy of chroma architecture + design, to local businesses to beautify exteriors, enhance visibility and/or improve building conditions and safety.

Northside-based Grey Rock Development uncovered the building’s original cast-iron storefront and installed huge, historically-appropriate windows!

Then, Josh Flohre of Dayton-based Ink & Hammer Mfg. Co. added custom hand-painted, gold-leaf lettering. It’s beautiful, elegant and period-appropriate!

Lonesome Town Tattoo is owned by Jaclin Grace Hastings, Zack Mueller, Eric Altonen, JoJo Benton, and Emily Sites. Book with each artist directly!

Emily has designed the graphics for the Northside Rock 'N Roll Carnival for several years now, and we’re so grateful for her work supporting this popular Northside event. She says that her childhood dream was to work at a carnival or circus, and our Rock’n’Roll Carnival isn’t too much of a stretch!

TONIGHT! The Northside Business Association is holding its monthly meeting at 7pm at 1628 Hoffner St. Our meetings are open to all.

The Northside Business Association serves to create and maintain vitality in the Northside business district, by offering resources for all neighborhood businesses and working together to cultivate our fun, eclectic and diverse neighborhood.

We maintain the online Northside business directory and Northside NOW social channels, organize community events and collaborate on projects to improve the district.

The group meets monthly to discuss progress, exchange ideas and hear presentations from community members. Our meetings are open to all.

The NBA meets at The Hive: A Center for Contemplation, Art, and Action at 1628 Hoffner St. This is a property owned by our organization.

The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens both online and in the Cincinnati region through small group classes, events and workshops. This nonprofit organization recently transitioned to Contemplative Commons Cincinnati, an independent Ohio-based nonprofit.

Have you checked out the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market yet? This initiative of the Freestore Foodbank is a grocery store on wheels, serving Cincinnati neighborhoods with limited access to healthy food.

The mobile market will be in the Heart of Northside parking lot (4222 Hamilton Ave.; enter via Hobart) 11am-1pm on Sat 12 Sep!

Do you enjoy singing or playing a musical instrument? Please consider becoming part of the music ministry at St. Boniface Church - Northside!

Music Director Chris Noel invites you to the first rehearsal after summer break TONIGHT (Thu 10 Sep) at 7pm in the church’s rectory basement. All levels of talent are welcome!

Located at 1750 Chase Ave., St. Boniface Church - Northside was completed in 1927 (and the school in 1933), but this Catholic worship community has its roots in the immigrant populations that settled in Cumminsville in the mid-19th century to work on the Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railroad.

When a new church needed to be built to accommodate the growing area population of German and Irish immigrants, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati asked the two groups to draw straws to see who would build a new church. The German congregants drew the straw for building, and a new church (the first St. Boniface in Northside), was erected on Lakeman St.

The current campus includes a school that serves over 200 students (pre-K through 8th grade). The St. Boniface Conference of St. Vincent DePaul also operates a food pantry for parishioners in need as well as the broader community.
