🎭 Big news from Truro! 🎭
The Truro Playwright Collective has received its first-ever grant from the Mass Cultural Council!
We're one of 738 programs across Massachusetts chosen for a Creative Experiences grant this year, out of more than 1,700 applicants. Five seasons in, it's a huge vote of confidence in what happens at the Truro Public Library every month: new plays, read aloud for the first time, free for everyone.
The grant helps power Season 5, which opens next month:
📅 Sat, Oct 24, 2 p.m.: LONG DISTANCES by Joseph M. Paprzycki.

Every reading is free and open to the public. Bring a friend.
Huge thanks to Mass Cultural Council and to the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, our fiscal sponsor. 👏

🎉 Big news: The Truro Playwright Collective has been awarded a grant from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod to support our fifth season of free staged readings of original works by Cape playwrights, running October 2026 through April 2027 at the Truro Public Library. https://www.artsfoundation.org/news/arts-foundation-awards-over-116000-to-32-creative-projects-on-cape-cod-and-marthas-vineyard
We're one of only 32 creative projects across Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard sharing $116,270 in this round of AFCC grant funding — and we're honored to be in such good company.
This support helps us keep every reading free and keeps new plays by Cape writers in front of Cape audiences. Thank you, Arts Foundation of Cape Cod! Season 5 opens October 24. Get updates at https://www.truroplaywrightcollective.org/

Join us for HORSY DAYS by Linda Fiorella — a free staged reading this Saturday, April 18, at 2:00 PM at the Truro Public Library.

Four former high school sports stars. One scandalous hobby-horsing competition. And a reckoning that's been a long time coming. Can Nora, Mia, and Doris forgive Ingrid for the scandal that could have launched their sport to the Olympics? Can Ingrid let go of the past?

You don't want to miss this one — and not just because it's a great play. This is the FINAL reading of our 4th season. 🎭

And we've got some exciting news coming soon about what's next for TPC. Stay in the loop — visit us at www.truroplaywrightcollective.org for updates and soon a sneak peek at Season 5.

🎭 Big News from the Truro Playwright Collective! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that TPC is now a fiscally sponsored project of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod — one of Cape Cod's most respected arts organizations. We are so honored by this recognition!

What does this mean? Simply put: YOUR donations to TPC are now TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. We also become eligible to apply for grants and corporate sponsorships that will help us grow free theater on the Outer Cape.

This milestone wouldn't be possible without the community that has supported our free monthly readings at the Truro Public Library season after season. Thank you.

If you've ever thought about supporting live theater on the Outer Cape, now is the perfect time. Every contribution — large or small — goes directly toward bringing new plays to life right here in Truro.
